12+2 and losing a bit of blood

Hello ladies,

I'm 12+2 and noticed I'm losing a little bit of bright red blood when I wipe. Got my scan on monday and trying my very best not to panic, but my brain keeps trying to convince me of the worst and I can't sleep. Doesn't help that I've developed a cough and dr wont let me take anything for it. Sad

Moan over, I'm going to try and sleep now. Wish me luck!

I have had 3 pregnancies, 2 successful and one sadly not. I bled with all three.

I would phone your epu and see what they recommend. They might be able to get you in sooner?

I really hope its nothing and you go on to have a worry free rest of the pregnancy Smile

Thanks for the replies.

Just got back from dr. EPU couldn't fit me in until Monday anyway. Practice nurse did internal exam and said cervix looks a little angry, she's advised I stay off my feet for the next couple of days just incase. I'm feeling much better now, the nurse was very sympathetic and helped me to calm down (still worried though). She's given me out of hours number to ring if bleeding gets worse or I start having pain over the weekend.

Just a thought, but you say you have a cough; maybe coughing hard has aggravated something? Anyway fingers crossed all is ok and make sure you rest Flowers

Hadn't thought of the coughing thing and didn't mention it to nurse as mind on other things. But yes, that would make sense. It's a fairly deep cough so it probably is shaking things up a bit. I've taken a couple of days off work and DH is waiting on me hand and foot. Bless him! Will let you all know how scan goes on Monday.

Oh no so sorry Joni x.

Barbie1 · 12/08/2013 13:21

Joni, I'm so terribly sorry.

You will go through so many different emotions over the next few weeks, don't fight them. Please talk through them if you can, having been there I can say talking through things would of helped me.

Here if you ever need to talk or you can pm anytime.

I hope you are resting now and not being too hard on yourself.

AhoyMcCoy · 12/08/2013 13:25

Oh Joni, Im so so sorry Flowers. It's so so unfair, isn't it? Thinking of you.
