No nausea, no fatigue, no tenderness, nothing. Am I one of the lucky few or is it all still to come?

I got a lot of symptoms starting at 6.5 weeks so don't count your chickens yet lol! Smile Saying that you might now get much in the way of symptoms at all - some people dont.

MerlinsBeard · 13/06/2006 09:36

some people are only finding out around now i would give it a few weeks yet

LadyTophamHatt · 13/06/2006 09:40

At 5 weeks I still felt human.
at 6 weeks I felt a little bit green occaisionally.
At 7 weeks I felt like shit.
At 8 weeks I still felt like shit.
At 9 weeks I was utter fed up with feeling shit.

10 weeks now and I'm getting back at 6 weeks stage.

Give a week or so pumpkin and you'll be starting a thread asking how to manage morning sicknessGrin

Pumpkin20 · 13/06/2006 09:52

I feared as much

can I just jump in on this thread and ask....I'm 7 weeks tomorrow and I feel sick occasionally although at times at night it's not fun iykwim. Having had x2 mc before we had dd I am concerned all the time...Do you get the same symptoms as before..?? with dd I was throwing up and quite ill till around 20 ish weeks. I remember going to bed at about 6pm...This time I only have sickness..no tiredness no tender breats etc...normal..?

BTW I do try and sleep during the afternoon while dd is asleep..? Could this be why I'm not nodding off at 6pm..?

BagelBird · 13/06/2006 11:52

shhh - both my pregnancies had different symptoms at different stages. Convinced that I was carrying a boy second time round which explained it but turned out to be another lovely little girl. I think that there is not much point comparing pregnancies as some have the same and others different. Certainly don’t worry if you have different symptoms xx

shhhh · 13/06/2006 11:54

thanks bb..it's just everywhere says you will experience ms,breast tenderness etc and it worries you when you have none or 1 or 2 of the symptoms or none all..!!

Worry worry worry....

bunny3 · 16/06/2006 12:40

shhhhh, when I was pg with dd I had no sickenss whatsoever, I was really worried about it as I also had 2 miscarriages before. Dd was born at full term, healthy and perfect. I did however have really bad sickness in the 2 pregnancies that I miscarried.

Miaou · 16/06/2006 13:11

No symptoms at 5 weeks is no problem pumpkin - I remember not really relaxing and believing I was pg with any of mine until I had my scan at 12 weeks! (and that's even though the m/s started at around 6/7 weeks each timeWink)

mumfor1standfinaltime · 16/06/2006 13:33

First 'symptom' for me was brown patches on my forehead, which I didn't know was caused by pregnancy. I just remember looking at my skin thinking 'whats that all about?'

Around 6 weeks pg I felt dizzy at work one day and so I did a test. I 'knew' I was pg. I didn't truly believe it until a twelve week scan where I expected the hospital to say 'there's nothing there get out and stop wasting our time!'

eenywifemum · 16/06/2006 14:11

my first sympton was the hiccups and I still have them!! I am 29 weeks btw!

sandradee · 16/06/2006 14:20

Lucky you. I had no symptoms either - no nausea or anything. In fact I loved being pregnant and I hardly put on any weight either (I lost lots from not drinking). It all came right off again, and more, with breasfteeding. (Sorry that sounds really smug).

the only think I got towards the end was a sciatica which was very painful but went as soon as I had given birth.

I suppose what I am trying to say is that if you eat properly and look after yourself hopefully you will enjoy being pregnant too. I think I looked better pregnant because I made more effort to wear skirts and not slouch around in jeans all the time.

Congratulations on your pregnancy and I hope it all goes well - enjoy it!

biglips · 16/06/2006 14:28

same here but i was so tired

you may be lucky pumpkin20

shhhh · 16/06/2006 19:56

sandradee, thing is I would love to follow your example but thats quite hard when you feel sick 24/7..! It's a similar feeling to having a hangover..you want to eat but can't face it. Even the smell of dh makes me feel quesey (and he's smells yummy when I'm not pregnant..!!)
I want to eat healthy and not gain weight but at the moment I am just happy when I eat and manage to keep it down..!! lol..!!! Suppose everyone is different.

sandradee · 17/06/2006 11:22

Poor you Shhh, I do understand - I know my post sounded rather annoying (sorry). I know people who have had a terrible time durimg Pg and were throwing up all the way through - even in the delivery room.

Who know if I have another whether I'll be luck again.

Everyone is different. I suppose I enjoyed it so much because I have always had a real thing about my figure etc and dressed rather non girly in jeans and always looked a scruff. Since having had my DS I feel so much bettr about myself and look better than I do for years. I wear much more girl clothes now and look more feminine!

meira · 13/08/2006 16:33

can anyone help? my tummy is getting larger and harder.(i am a very slim person) i did a pregnacy test at just after my period was due and it was negative. although overvthe last few weeks i have been through a terrible time of weird on/off sickness/tiredness and realy bad emotional phases.(cant stop crying)
could i still be pregnant? could i be showing at 7 weeks? confused!!!!!!!!!

lazyemma · 13/08/2006 17:20

meira, although there's a chance that your last pregnancy test might have been a false negative, the only way to tell for sure is to test again. I think it's unlikely you'd be showing at 7 weeks, although I might be wrong. Your other symptoms, as you probably know, do sound like early pregnancy ones, but there might also be other causes.

4boysmum · 14/08/2006 10:59

Meira, It mat be worth repeating a preg test as sometimes if you test too earlier there is not enough of the hormone in your urine to detect that you are pregnant. Also if this is not your first baby then it is possible to start having a bump straight away. I'm on my fith pregnancy and had a bump from when my period was due and i am not over weight. Failing this go get check up at Dr's..Let me know

CurrantBun · 14/08/2006 12:18

Pumpkin,

At 5 weeks I felt exactly the same as usual.
At 6 weeks I still felt exactly the same as usual and was basking in my escape from morning sickness.
At 7 weeks I started retching and feeling a bit green.
At 8 weeks I felt like shit. My healthy diet went out the window and I lived on stodgy carbs which were all that would stay down.
At 9 weeks - ditto.
At 10 weeks - managed to keep a bit more down although still mostly off fruit and veg.
At 11 weeks - eating almost normally, but still hating the smell of peppers and onions, and over-ripe bananas. Thought I was out of the woods then just spent all weekend throwing up again!
At 12 weeks - let's see ...

It's totally horrible so if you do escape be very, very grateful!

aragon · 14/08/2006 12:32

Hi,

I had no symptoms at all - not a thing. Kept waiting for them to tell me at my scan that "you've imagined it dearie - nothing there"

My Mum was apparently exactly the same with me. However, with dear brother she was as sick as a dog.

meira · 14/08/2006 15:31

thanx for the advise, i will test again and let you know. if its negative i will have to get crunching

pennygaff · 17/08/2006 16:30

My first and only symptom was a strange dizzyness when I stood up. I sailed through to week 6 not even knowing.
I even had to take three tests for a definite result.
My advice is to take the test first thing in the morning when you get out of bed and pee. The best tests are the sticks you pee directly onto (first reponse?). I bought a cheap one I had to dip into a cup of wee and leave for 5 mins. I dipped it in too far and it all sogged out.

SydSnow · 18/08/2006 11:58

Glad to know it's not just me.
I'm six weeks and have to keep doing tests to reassure myself I'm actually pregnant and not just constipated and greedy!
You realise, though, that we are the people all the other's can't bear, and now they know who we are!

Pumpkin20 · 18/08/2006 12:49

Update: It was all still to come! Am 13 wks now and have never felt so poorly.

Constant sickness, major exhaustion, acne, crap hair, constipation, always sneezing, shortness of breath etc etc.

Just starting to emerge the other side now and looking forward to swapping all these symptoms for a whole set of new ones.

Happy days!

Pumpkin x
