I'm having my baby in 4 weeks and 3 days - not that i'm counting! - and am hoping to breastfeed. I bought some nipple cream in preparation. My question is do i need to use it before the birth, to get everything supple, or just leave it till i'm feeding, and see how i go?

Leave it till your feeding and just use it if you need to, I found i've only needed to use it a bit at first really then everything settles down!HTH

PS you seem very sure of when your baby is coming!! Are you having a section?

BethAndHerBrood · 12/06/2006 21:43

I didn't really start using mine till about a week after we came home - was only using it every couple of days until then. I found washing each nip quickly with a flannel, fresh pad and lansinosh )(sp) cream worked every time to keep from getting sore. nly now having a few sore probs at 16 weeks so gonna go back to that again.
