GTT and active baby

Hi all,

I had my GTT this morning as my Bmi is over 30.. I fasted from 10pm last night, had my blood taken and the sugar drink at 9am and then had to wait 2 hours.

I sat and read and book and baby went crazy, she's pretty active anyway and I can usually feel and seekicks quite strongly but this was something else!!!

Obviously it was a sugar rush but does that happen to all baby's with a GTT? Is it a sign of gestational diabetes?

I had a GTT and can't remember baby leaping about - maybe because I was trying not to vom (urgh will never drink lucazade again). I'd be surprised if it was the result of GD - my baby definitely responds to sugar and I was not found to have GD.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer more comprehensively.

I have no idea, although I do have GD and my baby is extremely active, especially when my blood sugars are high. It could just be a total coincidence though.

I hope your results come back ok.
