Headache and nausea 24/7

So I'm trying the ginger and lemon tea thing which has worked for the nausea. I am only 6/7 weeks but feeling awful Hmm nauseas all the time, headache 24/7 and I work really long days Sad I have Iost interest in eating, but am forcing myself of a night time. Is this a good idea or should I just eat when I'm hungry? I've snacked healthily all day but feel absolute crap right this minute. I've got pasta on the go but could quite easily throw it Hmm

I was the same, in both pg. Eat what you can and when you can. In my case that meant I barely ate anything for 6 weeks. Please try and stay hydrated! I ended up in hospital many times being rehydrated on a drip - this is called Hyperemisis. I couldn't even brush my teeth without throwing up. I was utterly miserable. When I could eat, it was crisps, cheese and tuna sandwhiches. I melted ice cubes in my mouth to try and stay hydrated.

You might find some help at Pregnancy Sickness Support.

and the lovely MS ladies here.

I also felt cold! If things get really bad, your GP can prescribed anitsickness drugs (some GPs don't like to, see the Pregnancy Sickness Support link). In my experience (i tried them all) they help food stay down, but don't actually stop the nausea.

Totally normal. I felt like this for four months! I would say most of the time you have to force food down (although its ok not to eat much occasssionally if you're feeling terrible) just so you're getting some substance. It's a miserable time but it'll pass. You could be cold from lack of eating? Or just from not feeling well

Bike isn't that what Kate Middleton had? Poor you Sad I hope I don't get that bad but I must admit I am awful at drinking at the best of times even before I was pregnant! Definitely will try the ice cube thing!

Well I've just experienced my first proper sickness, wasn't the best experience Hmm like any sickness Grin I can't wait for this horrid me stage to pass

What's the whole thing of feeling cold?!

BikeRunSki · 04/08/2013 23:02

Yes, it was what Kate M had. I guess the coldness is because of not eating, so slow metabolism.
