29 weeks and my boobs have started leaking clear liquid. I'm not surprised r.e. the leaking, but more that it's clear and sticky (sorry tmi).

is this totally normal? I was expecting it to look somewhat milky?! Shock

Pretty sure it's normal, but if you call it that again, we'll have to kill you.

FattyMcChubster · 04/08/2013 21:45

Yeah don't call it that.
Ever.

It's just normal colostrum. Use a breast pad.

KarmaBiatch · 04/08/2013 21:46

ha! what would you rather I call it? Grin

LittleBearPad · 04/08/2013 21:47

Breast milk ...

LEMisdisappointed · 04/08/2013 21:47

fluid, colostrum? Booby juice is just too "bitty" and made me wince

TwentyTinyToes · 04/08/2013 21:48

Just milk!

KarmaBiatch · 04/08/2013 21:48

wow.. it was only meant to be light hearted! the reason I didn't call it breast milk is due to the lack of milky appearance!

Booby juice?

God I think a bit of sick just entered my mouth.

Maturestudenttobe · 04/08/2013 21:50

I got that it was lighthearted :)
Give the OP a break.

NoComet · 04/08/2013 21:51

I like booby juice, colostrum is far too hard to spell Grin

LaRosaBella · 04/08/2013 21:52

I got this at 20 weeks, freaked me out! I thought it was supposed to be milky until someone explained colostrum to me!

KarmaBiatch · 04/08/2013 21:53

Thanks maturestudent, didn't realise it would cause distaste in others mouths, will have to remember to be serious at all times..

there was me thinking pregnancy and all that comes with it could be chuckled at..

maja00 · 04/08/2013 21:55

It doesn't actually get milky until 3 or 4 days after the birth. Colostrum is usually thick and yellow.

LaRosaBella · 04/08/2013 21:56

Well I thought booby juice was funny, so humbug to you and your poor vomity mouths.

Madratlady · 04/08/2013 22:02

I'm going to run panicking to Tesco to get some breast pads now (not really but I should probably get some) I didn't think leakyness started till around the due date but I should clearly be prepared!

chillisbopper · 04/08/2013 22:04

I got this at about 21 weeks. I went straight to my books and read all about colostrum so the lack of milky appearance didn't bother me too much but I was very surprised to have started leaking so early. I didn't even feel it happening, breasts had been sore but it wasn't until I saw a patch on my pjs that I realised Grin. I now sleep in a sports bra with no wiring just incase of any over night leakages Grin.

CheeseFondueRocks · 04/08/2013 22:05

Grown up women call it milk!

KarmaBiatch · 04/08/2013 22:08

Thanks for all the sensible answers Smile

I guess you can't call me a grown-up woman then, no skin off my nose Wink

LaRosaBella · 04/08/2013 22:12

Jeeeeze people need to relax, it was quite obviously light hearted and even if it wasn't they are her bloody boobs and her bloody boob juice to call as she wishes.

KarmaBiatch · 04/08/2013 22:17

Thanks Larosa, thankfully the juice isn't bloody Wink

LaRosaBella · 04/08/2013 22:28

Ahhhh yes proof reading is not my speciality! Although when my dd was born and my colostrum went an orangey colour I did think blood was coming out of my nipples, I cried to the midwife that I was feeding my daughter blood!

FoofFighter · 05/08/2013 08:02

But it's not milk coming out...! :p

kd83 · 05/08/2013 12:10

I quite liked booby juice. It made me laugh and click on the post. Its a shame some have to take things so seriously.

I've been carrying emergency breast pads around in my hand bag for about 2 months now (am now 30 wks) but luckily no leakage yet. Better safe than sorry though, especially at work! eek!

DaleyBump · 05/08/2013 12:18

I liked booby juice! I've been leaking since last week and I'm 23+2 today :)
