Itchy bump???

I'm 33weeks pregnant on Tuesday ( 6th ) and past few days omg the top of the my bump is itching me so much the other day it was itching all over anyone got got any ideas why?????

Maybe your skin stretching? Have you put anything on it?

No not yet as not sure see I know a loritadin tablet would fix me but not allowed grrr not sure what cream to use aquas cream???

Go and see the doctor. It could be serious.

It's most likely your body's reaction to your skin stretching, this is the time of pregnancy when you stretch more and quickly. Rub some soothing lotion on, and maybe a cold flannel.

If you are terribly uncomfortable then I would give your MW a call, as sometimes itchy skin in pregnancy is a sign of liver problems.

don't worry thought, try relieving the itch with lotion first Smile

...it is unlikely to be, but it could be obstetric cholestatis.

It's more than likely just your skin stretching. I'm 29 wks pregnant with my 5th and it's driving me mad too.

I've promised my Facebook friends that I will go the midwife on Thursday as that's the next time midwife is at docs
My feet are swollen too (but have been for a while ) been at least 2weeks as finished work 2weeks ago and last few shifts omg my work shoes were very uncomfy.

I suffered from both bump and boob itching around the same time as you (I'm 40 wks now and waiting to go any time!) Obviously if you're worried then it's best to get it checked by midwife / gp, but for me it was just annoying.
I've added it to my list of "things about pregnancy that nobody tells you". Hey, maybe I should start a thread for that...

I am only 16 and a half weeks and I have a very itchy bump at times. I think it must be skin stretching and when I use my cream it seems to soothe it a lot.

I also have an itchy bump. I've been using lotions and oils to prevent stretchmarks (wishful thinking, they apparently don't prevent them!)
Do think it's only the skin stretching, I think it's only when you're itching all over that it might be something more serious.
