Oh my Lord. that sounds awful.
Do you have your DH/DP/family around for support???

Why did the doctor re-test you in the first place??

And what has he said to do now???

Sorry to be blunt but have you had a scan for an ectopic pregnancy? As that can be one reason for a neg test after a positive and can be very dangerous. Sounds like you need more answers from doctors/epu.

Sorry you've not had good news though.

What an absolute farce !! Making the receptionist break that news to you over the phone??? That's just unforgiveable!! Your GP should have rang you himself and discussed it with you properly - no wonder you are so upset and angry.

how heartbreaking for you - have you got someone with you??

CheeseFondueRocks · 02/08/2013 18:11

So this was a blood test that came back as not pregnant? How was the pregnancy diagnosed before?

I think I'd get a scan just to be sure.

ZolaBuddleia · 02/08/2013 18:14

So, who told you that you were pregnant in the first place, and why did the doctor do blood tests?

mummyneedinganswers · 02/08/2013 18:54

He confirmed it he first time via blood tests and then he thoght i had anaemia and done more blood tests and wanted my hcg levels dne again and rhen told me im not pregnant :(

Did you do a home pregnancy test when you first thought you were pregnant?

HaveIGotPoosForYou · 02/08/2013 19:49

How awful.

I'd seriously think about putting in a complaint as the practice is obviously not doing what it's supposed to.

I am so sorry to hear this :(

I agree with Sunny about taking the tests in the morning. I'm surprised they haven't offered to scan you seeing as you haven't had any bleeding yet they say the pregnancy is no more. I don't know how different protocols work across different counties though. x x

So sorry you're going through this :) and the receptionist needs a retraining for how she told you

Can you contact your epu? The Dr should refer you for a scan, but they might take you directly. If not, what about a private scan, they'll be open today, and would save you waiting until Monday x

TangfasticMrFoxalastic · 03/08/2013 06:31

Oh crap, wrong face, worst place to do a smiley. Was of course meant to be a :(

You can't get false positives, so you were pregnant but must have had an early miscarrige, this week my hgc results were 2300 one day, 2 days later they were 550 got to go back on Wednesday were they are expecting them to have have dropped to a none pregnancy level so that's most likely what's happened to you, you've already gone to the none pregnant levels :-( in sorry I know how hard this is xx

mummyneedinganswers · 03/08/2013 20:56

bunnygoesbang · 03/08/2013 21:01

I had a very similar thing and a week later still no bleeding and a positive test. I went back to my gp and there had been a mix up with the blood tests so they sent me straight for a scan. It turned out to be ectopic. Make an appointment go back and insist they investigate due to you not bleeding

mummyneedinganswers · 03/08/2013 21:10
