Trimethoprim in 2nd trimester ?

I have been prescribed this, and slightly worried about taking it, as didnt take folic acid this time. Anyone else taken trimethoprim in the 2nd trimester ?

I was and didn't take it. I spoke to a different Dr from the one who prescibed it as the info leaflet said not to take in pregnancy unless an absolute emergency. I was also prescribed this drug and was told it was completely safe by my GP but when I went to the hospital for a scan they took it straight off of me. I was halfway through the prescription.

5 weeks later, I found that my daughter had no arm. Of course I cant prove that this is linked and I dont nessesarily think it is and neither do the doctors but I would say to anyone who has been prescribed this to be careful....just in case.
