Headaches!!!

Hi, I am 15 weeks pregnant and getting really bad headaches. They are mainly sinus headaches but some are stress headaches. Can someone reassure me that it is OK to take paracetamol? My midwife said it is OK in moderation but my GP (who is a bit odd!!) said that she wouldn't recommend taking anything. Also, any natural tips to get rid of sinusitis and headaches?
Many thanks.

paracetamol at its normal dosage is ok to take in pregnancy. Re: sinusitis, have you tried using albas oil either on a hanky in your pillow at night or stick a few drops in a bowl of hot water and use it as a steam inhalation.

I am also pregnant, and suffer from migraines in pregnancy. I have no qualms at all about taking paracetamol, in fact the doctor prescribed something called Paramax, a migraine powder with paracetamol and codeine (for the sickness) in it. It is all about weighing up risk and benefit IMO - if you are really suffering with the headaches and it is making you stressed and miserable, then I think that's far worse than taking a paracetamol every so often.

Have you also tried the gel pads you can get from the chemist? - they are cooling pads, specially made to deal with headaches - you put them on your forehead, they stick on and are cooling for about 6 hours.

Is there a trigger for the stress related one? Are you working too hard/too long hours? Can you take a break?

I hope it gets better soon.
