I'm 7-8 weeks along with my second and feeling awful after I eat- bloated, nauseous, and really gassy Blush

Nobody knows I'm PG yet and its so uncomfortable I'm avoiding eating with others (except DH or DS). I don't remember being like this before- certainly not this early! Grrr...

Anyone got any experience or remedies? Peppermint tea maybe?

Get thee to the Dr and ask for a giant bottle of gaviscon...it will be your friend for the next 32 weeks or so!!! I had a bottle by the bed, by the sofa and in the kitchen! I would get so much acid coming back up, regardless of what I ate or didn't eat that it would make me sick. If it gets really bad, you can also get zantac ac (or the generic equivalent) on prescription to take once a day and that should sort it out.

It is due to pregnancy hormone causing all your muscles to relax, which can mean that the valve at the top of your stomach which is supposed to stop the acid escaping doesn't work as well as it should.

I found peppermint tea just made it worse, milk helped to some extent, as did icecream, fruit was a definite no no!

Congrats x

Thanks - it doesn't feel too acidic, more gassy- like I'm full of air all the time.

Oddly enough though I can't face any fruit or veg which is unlike me. I'm worried I'll end up with scurvy!

Swig Gaviscon out of the bottle - you can get it on prescription!

Ginger tea helped me early on!
