Flying tomorrow...

I am supposed to be flying to Ireland tomorrow for a busy few days.

I have been really sick and started bleeding a bit today. Am so confused about what to do. Don't want to be apart from DH if the worst happens, but am worried about letting my friend down too. She can be a bit difficult. I am feeling quite vulnerable so can't decide what to do for the best.

How far along are you?
If you are spotting then you really need to rest even if it is just random nothingness. You certainly don't want to risk mc-ing in another country

  • not that Ireland doesn't have decent healthcare, but you'll need to check your insurance will cover you if you do need treatment (you do have it? Or at least an EHIC card?)

I'd really be tempted to play it safe and don't travel

Friends who can 'be a bit difficult' are generally going to get pissed off at something, sometime in my experience. Do what you feel most comfortable with. It's quite understandable you are worried and want to be near DH. It's also understandable that you want to be at home. Hope all goes well for you.

Thanks both!

I do have travel insurance and the ehic, am waiting for the GP to ring back to see if I can go to the EPU today, and to get their advice.
