Ive just hit the 8ish week mark and woken up to 3 giant spots (boils) on my chin.
I had pretty bad skin with my first pregnancy which was my dd and got few outbreaks with my ds but not as bad.
Now ive only made it this far into pregnancy number 3 before my skin is erupting! I absolutely hate it and get so paranoid, i know in the grand scheme of things bad skin isnt exactly the end of the world but its still miserable.
Anyone else suffer with bad skin and any tips on what might help it?

Afraid so. I had terrible back acne in my first trimester, really painful boils (how attractive!).

Fortunately they cleared up after about week 14, so fingers crossed yours wont be around for long.

I just wanted to say that this has happened to me too - i'm 9+3 and i never usually have any spots. I have a professional job and i find it affects my confidence. Sorry i don't have any tips but just thought i'd let you know you're not alone! Did yours last right through pregnancy before? This is my first so no idea how long it could last for for me!

Kd83 its horrible when they spread onto your body as well it happened with my dd, u must have been so glad they cleared up early.

Natalie, they lasted all way to the end and then for months after with my daughter and i ended up on a type if pill (dianette) that helps acne and also antibiotics for a while.
With my son they cleared up after without any meducation.
I will be gutted if i end up as bad as first time round tbh cos i am same in professional job and cant avoid meeting/seeing new people all the time and i felt as though they were talking to my spots.
With any luck you might not get very bad and they cud go of their own accord.
If anyone does hav any advice from when they had pregnancy acne it wud be very much welcome

I haven't had any spots on my face but have developed a few massive boils on my legs. Was not sure if this was preg related or not. Never suffered from them before, am about 12 weeks.
They are really red and sore. It's horrible having to wear thick tights to work in this stuffy weather! Any tips on getting rid of them or preventing any more would be very welcome indeed.

I've had horrible boils in both pregnancies. On my cheeks, jawline, neck :( not much helped, sudocrem and tea tree oil made a bit of difference but not much. They disappeared when I was about 26 weeks and I have had a really good skin since. (I'm due on Wednesday)

lozza22 - just 3?!?! You should see the state of me...I'm a total mess and they're EVERYWHERE! ! They were part of the reason I took a HPT though so at least served a purpose. Really can't wait until they're gone though. I must only be about 5 weeks (so early I've not been to the docs yet) and I've seen people say they're only clearing up at week 20 Angry

Also have suffered with symptoms like these, one developed into an abscess and required surgery! Absolutely awful. I think as your immune system in down whilst you're pregnant, your body sometimes can't fight small infections like these, and they turn int big annoying problems!

In the grand scheme of things they might seem trivial to others, and maybe they are, but they are still one thing you don't factor in on top of everything else! X
