Pink/brownish discharge is usually old blood and not a concern, but you're right to get it checked out.

How far along are you? My understanding is the belly scan doesn't work in the very early stages.

Fingers crossed it's all ok.

Brown blood is generally old blood but do get checked out. As for TV scan - they have to do TV in early pregnancy as nothing can be seen on an abdominal scan early on. I had TV scan after a bleed at 6w and another one at 8w for my viability scan (IVF).
Good luck!
