I want to go outside and grab a fistful of soil and munch on it.

I've been feeling like this since the rain started again last week. I smell the muddy air and want to eat the mud.

This happened to me when pregnant with dd too and I do admit, I went and got some stones from the garden and sucked on them until I went and bought some pregnacare and the craving disappeared.

I can't be bothered to go out today and buy vitamins. I just want to eat soil. Could I put some in a pan and fry it or something to kill any bad bacteria and then munch on it?! Grin

Sounds like pica - can you make it to Boots/Tesco and get some vitamins?

mrsspagbol · 28/07/2013 10:57

Oh sorry just seen you cant be bothered!

I agree. It does sound like pica. In adults this is normally a result of your body craving minerals that it doesn't have enough of. I would go get some vitamins too Op...

Er, no. I wouldn't of I were you Grin

I remember when I was pregnant with ds. I had terrible morning sickness and no appetite until I spent an hour on the five minute walk from the midwife looking for the bonfire. It was the most amazing smell and the first pleasant one in months. Glad I never found it tbh. Don't know what I would've done if I'd stood in front of it.

I don't think I would, but on the other hand I do eat veg out the garden without washing it sometimes and it hasn't killed me.

(I guess you already know it's pica and vitamins would be the better option.)
