Hello everyone, I'm currently 5+3 and on and off throughout the day I have been having achey, crampy feelings just above/behind my pubic bone.

They are weird sensations, one minute it feels like AF cramping, then it feels like maybe I need to have a poo (tmi) and sometimes it is like a quick twinge.

I know aches are supposed to be normal but how do we know which ones to worry about and which ones to ignore?

This is my first pregnancy and everything is new and worrying to me.

I had quite a few manic hours this morning doing housework and so now I'm paranoid I have caused some harm.....

I don't think you need to worry. With my first pregnancy I frequently had AF style pains in the first 10 weeks, and weird cramp poo like pains AND random sharp twinges and everything was absolutely fine. It's the uterus stretching. Coincidentally, I am now 4 weeks preg and today I was moving and lifting things about all day and got terrible cramping, exactly how you describe. I had a lie down and feel better. All sorts of twinges go on at this stage, try not to obsess too much as you will go crazy! Aches etc are normal x x

Oh and ones to be concerned about would be really painful ones, particularly if they are on one side (eptopic preg risk) and ones accompanied by bleeding I would say. But if you are ever really worried go to a&e (during my first pregnancy, I was always going..it was always fine though!)

I'm still achey - is it normal to last this long?

I caved and took some paracetamol at 3am this morning... [hmmm]

My boobs ache a little less too which has also got me panicked - surely pregnancy symptoms aren't supposed to disappear?

Every time I go for a wee I'm worried I'm going to see blood Sad

Well paracetamol is fine to take when pregnant (it's ibuprofen you can't take).

As I said aching is normal. I'm still quite achey too, and symptoms like boob soreness, fatigue, nausea come and go during the first 12 weeks.

I think you should go to your gp tomorrow though, they will know better than me and check it all over x
