Hiya Smile earlier today I had a bit of something strange happen and was wondering if it had happened to anyone else? Or if anyone knows what happened (I'm 34+5 days) ??
Earlier today I was making a sandwich and having to sit down 3 times during as I felt faint. 5 minutes after I was eating and I started feeling unwell and when I stood up I felt a lot of strong pressure all of a sudden and went straight to the toilet. I was in quite a bit of pain and it didn't feel like pressure like I needed to poo. But there was a lot of pressure like as if the baby was coming! I was sat there feeling very sick like i was going to vomit and like I was about to faint but I felt like something was happening! Then eventually I ended up having poo (sorry if you're squeamish! My stomach wasnt upset also) and I went to lay on the settee before I fainted and I laid there covered in sweat! It was very strange, I'd never felt anything like that before! Then it went away and I felt nothing else of it since really other than feeling quite weak and faint.
Any similar experiences ladies?

Hi Op. I have no idea what this is but I've experienced it twice recently and I'm 25 weeks. Hope you're feeling better now.

How's the bp? I used to feel quite faint on a few occasions when pg. It turned out my bp dropped. And I just needed to rest.
My parents had their own bp monitor, so used that whilst feeling unwell.

Sounds like food poisoning - I faint when I'm sick normally and while pg this time and with DS1 I also got bad diahorrea and felt very faint then too. For me it's my blood pressure dropping (blood going to tummy or bowels)
But sounds pretty scary ESP if you were on your own. I'd give your GP or MW a call tomorrow, and if you start feeling sick today call OOH GP. Otherwise take it easy today and treat yourself like you've got food poisoning (easy to digest foods, don't do too much etc)

Hi i have been getting this since 23 wks have been told by midwife that it is due to the baby lying on a vein and then moving causing a blood pressure spike. But i would get it checked out if it happens again in case it is a blood pressure problem. Hope this helps.

Do you think it could be BH, some people faint with these and the heat/dehydration could be making them worse.

That is exactly how I felt during and after my GTT- when my blood sugar skyrocketed after the glucose drink, then a bit later in the car home, before I had eaten.

Heat, hunger and dehydration seem to be having an extreme effect on many pregnant women.
