How much did your boobs grow in pregnancy and did you have a boy or girl?

Inspired by the other boob thread.

I read this article yesterday in a German parenting magazine that claimed that women who are pregnant with girls will have more boob growth in pregnancy. It suggested there was an average of 6cm difference between girl and boy pregnancies.

Was this true in your case?

I have 1 DD so far and m boobs grew huge when I was pregnant. It happened pretty quickly as well.

One DS and one DD. Boobs grew to same size both times!

PseudoBadger · 26/07/2013 21:16

My boobs have definitely grown more this pregnancy (a girl) than with DS.

NarkyNamechanger · 26/07/2013 21:18

I didn't get bigger boobs with any of my pregnancies :(

But I did get hairier with my boys (more testosterone?)

Figgygal · 26/07/2013 21:20

Not one bit even with 3 stone weight gain Shock had a boy

WhispersOfWickedness · 26/07/2013 21:22

I had both and didn't notice a difference in boob size. I grew considerably less body hair with DD though, a definite bonus in the summer Grin

Kelly1814 · 26/07/2013 21:47

My boobs have not grown one inch (disappointing) am 30 weeks. Suspect am having a boy as consultant has dropped a few clangers during regular scans.

Bunnylion · 26/07/2013 21:52

The hormonal levels produced by the fetus is so unbelievably tiny that it wouldn't have any effect on the mothers boob growth.

This goes for when people are always saying you'll get fatter with a girl, be more emotional, more likely to have morning sickness etc - it's false.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 26/07/2013 21:54

I'm partway through cooking a girl (28+4) and mine have gone up a cupsize so far.

rowtunda · 26/07/2013 21:56

No boob growth with DS but with second pregnancy now I've exploded to 32GG and I've still got 3 months to go! Don't know what I'm having this time - hadn't even considered it had anything to do with gender

adagio · 26/07/2013 22:01

I had a DD. I started out small - 32B went up one cup and band in the second tri, then I think another towards end of the third tri (switched to Bravado one size fits many bra so not entirely sure), then blossomed to an E when my milk came in. I so hope I get to keep them after she finishes with me Grin

MortifiedAdams · 26/07/2013 22:01

Barely. Girl.

MortifiedAdams · 26/07/2013 22:04

whispers yy to the hair. I am generally dark and hairy and yeti like. I shaved legs/pits at about 10 weeks and noticed I didnt need to do them again until I was almost ready to drop. I had a haircut at about 15wks and my hair literally did not grow another cm.the rest of the pg.

Sadly I also.badly plucked my eyebrows during early pregnancy and ended up looking an utter state for the whole nine months.

I.am.now pg again and shit scared of touching the brows.

Househunter · 26/07/2013 22:08

B to H cup both times with girls. Was horrific!

MangoJuiceAddict · 26/07/2013 22:17

I have 1 DD. I was a 34E before I fell pregnant (17 years old, so its possible that some of the boobage was my own natural growth), a 34GG at 9months pregnant and a 36H whilst breastfeeding. 11 years (and 3 stone of pregnancy weight lost) later, i'm a 32GG.

Littlemissexpecting · 26/07/2013 22:47

Ds and very little growth. Some round back (32-36) rather than cup size but that was mostly down to comfort

suntodayplease · 26/07/2013 22:53

One DD and boobs grew a little, not huge if I remember. Pg with a boy and they've grown significantly. To the point where I'm struggling to buy bras without having to resort to online stores dreading milk coming in and having to find something big enough so I blow that theory out the window.

suntodayplease · 26/07/2013 22:59

And the hair thing, didn't notice when pg with DD, but this time round with a boy, hair on head is def benefiting, where as everywhere else has slowed right down. Realised I've not had eyebrows threaded once and I'm 7 months. If only it would stay this way after. Wishful thinking, recall that moment approx 3 months after you give birth when all your hair starts to come out. Gutting!

MultipleMama · 26/07/2013 23:09

With DS1: 32DD to 34E
With DD: 34DD to 34E
With DTS (ID boys): 32DD to 34EE.

I'm 20w with twins and currently 32E.

snickersnacker · 26/07/2013 23:19

Daughter and no change to boobs.

SourSweets · 27/07/2013 00:11

Boy, 32D to 36F at 38 weeks. And yes, hairier! (Not my boobs...)

Airfryer · 27/07/2013 08:05

Mine grew a lot more with ds!

BikeRunSki · 27/07/2013 08:08

No boob growth in either pg; one DS, one DD.

adagio · 27/07/2013 20:46

MultipleMama
six?! Shock
Oh my days, impressed!

MultipleMama · 28/07/2013 11:11

adagio Not impressive just crazy! Haha. First set were MoMo boys so never thought I'd get PG straight away with another set even though they're b/g twins and they do run in family!

Shellywelly1973 · 28/07/2013 11:47
