Hi, I'm 19 weeks pg and for the last hour I've had a stabbing pain in my lower abdomen on the left hand side.

Should I call the midwife? When I had aches and pains before they just told me to take paracetemol and rest but this feel different.

I googled it which I know I shouldn't have because now I'm worrying even more.

Is it normal or should I see someone?

Hi Bell, I'm 22wks & have had lots of similar pains I've put them down to my uterus growing. If you are concerned though wouldn't hurt to give MW a quick call xx

I am 17 weeks and I have had this the last week or so. Saw MW at 16 week appointment last week and she said its round liagament pain. She says its normal and will happen throughout pregnancy. But give MW a call for reassurance if you are really stressing about it.

I had the same this morning for half an hour, was worse when I sat down I took a paracetamol and it went, I'm 22+2 :)

I had stabbing pains in my right side at 19 weeks, I put it down to round ligament pain. It came and went for a couple of days. It was never excruciating but still had me worried. I'm 22 weeks now and haven't had that same pain back (it was quite sharp - specific place). I asked at my 20 week scan and she couldn't see any reason for it. As everyone says, def call your midwife if you feel anxious about it though.
