Hi all,
Im fairly new to this site but just wanted to hear from others about their experiences.
I'm 15 weeks preg with first baby & have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes Sad Feeling quite anxious about it & guilty....is it my fault?? Read some leaflets about it & seems fairly uncommon so early on.

Is anyone else in the same boat & feeling rubbish?

xx

Hi

I am 37 weeks and was diagnosed at 29 weeks ish. It's a pain having to remember what to do and when, but I'm reassured by the extra appointments and scans they give you. You get to know what agrees with you and what foods to avoid. Mine is controlled with diet and tablets and fingers crossed within parameters.

Please don't blame yourself or berate yourself. There is nothing you could have done to have predicted this or stopped it. It is just one of those things, the female body I am starting to realise takes on a life of its own when pregnant.
