bruise/area of bleed on early scan

Hi. I've been for an early scan today. I know I am 7wks since LMP but they dated it as 6+3 which is well within their limits apparently. They said they could see a small area of bleed, almost like a bruise next to the sac. They didn't look overly-concerned, but did caveat it with "obviously we haven't got a crystal ball". They said it is probably bruise/bleed from the implantation process which can be quite aggressive against the side of the womb. And told me "not to worry" - yeah right!!! Anyone had this? Thanks.

its hard not to worry I know but please don't I am 6+4 and had a scare 2 days ago had a scan and I had the same thing show they said it is pretty normal and they were not concerend at all about it so its more common that most people prob even realise unless they have to have an early scan

I've got one right now. Mine is bleeding but nobody seems worried about. (Healthcare profs that is - I definitely am!)

There's another thread on this page called 'tell me about your subchorionic heamatoma' which I started a few days ago when I was going mental. Lots of lovely reassuring words.

I had this at 7 weeks the bleed was bigger than the sac where baby was growing I bled for 6 weeks and am now 27 weeks take it easy and you should be ok xx

Same for me at my 8 weeks scan and they told me not to worry and that I might see a bit of old blood coming out in the next few days which I didn't.

I am 39 weeks tomorrow so listen to the professionals if they think you shouldn't worry...

All the best xxSmile

I had a bleed at 11 weeks for a few days. Had a scan whilst I was bleeding heavily and they couldnt see any reason. Then at my 12 week scan a few days later they said they could see it. Apparently the fresh blood doesn't show up. They told me the blood they could see might come out or my body might reabsorb it. So far I'm 15 weeks and haven't had any more bleeding. It's very, very common.

Hi there - I know this is an insanely old post but just going through the exact same thing & wondering what your outcome was?
