Surely this shouldn't be happening so early??

I only got my BFP 4 days ago, my only symptoms having been weeing a lot and being tired.

However, since Saturday night my boobs have gone insane!!!

They have changed size and shape (they look really round and tight), my areolas seem bigger and they have little lumpy bits in them. I even have blue veins!! And as of last night I started getting tingly sensations in my nipples and this morning they just feel achey (my nipples, not boobs) - I feel hyper aware of them!

It has only been 5 weeks since the first day of my last period.

Is it normal for this change to happen so quickly??

I'm off to my GPO's in 30 minutes to let her know I'm pregnant and get the ball rolling - I'm so excited!!! Grin

Hi writer! Yup, all normal - boobs can start changing before getting your BFP, make the most of it while they are bigger than your bump Grin

thecakeisalie · 24/07/2013 09:13

I've had similar feelings in my boobs only got my bfp on sat. Its amazing how quickly the changes can start!

Congrats on your bfp!

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 09:15

Thank you, you too thecake !!!

Is it normal for one breast to feel more affected than the other??

My left one definitely feels different to the right one....

Yup normal! Mine changed more over the pregnancy too, then when little one was born and the milk came in.....woooo mama! Mega jugs! Lol

Congratulations x

ChairOfTheBored · 24/07/2013 09:52

In my, albeit limited, experience entirely normal.

My boobs have gone nuts. It's quite nice to have a bit of a rack for the first time in my life, even if it is pretty painful!

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 10:35
Grin

Mine are about a 34C and my bras are now too tight. So not only do I have sore boobs/nipples, but now my back, shoulders, and under the breast area is hurting due to the straps/underwiring digging in Grin

Oh the joys!!

Ye, it was the knockers that persuaded me to take a test. It's the sheer weight of them that's changed the most.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 24/07/2013 11:32

writer yup - don't worry, at some point your symptoms will die off/fade for a few days and instead you can worry that something is wrong Grin.
Welcome to the endless cycle...

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 11:34

Pregnany = and endless cycle of worry Smile

Can't wait!!!! Grin

Yup. My breasts went mental before I even got my bfp. That's how I knew - they were suddenly in the way, especially when sleeping. Luckily they calmed down a bit, but now I'm in my 3rd trimester, they are getting way too big for my liking! I never thought I'd be wishing to have my small breasts back!

Congratulations by the way!

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 11:45

Thanks Serious Smile

My sleeping position is on my front but I fear I will have to re-think that....

It was uncomfortable last night, let alone further down the line...

JoniR · 24/07/2013 12:08

Yup, mine went mental almost straight away. I've been living in a sports bra for a few weeks now as that's the only way that they're comfortable. I get woken up by rolling over in bed as they complain about it. They were monsters before being pregnant, now they're just ridiculous 32GG is where they can stop thankyou very much! Grin

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 12:13

Bloody hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grin

I hope they don't get much bigger otherwise people are going to start to notice.....

I noticed my boobs were bigger about a week before my period was due and was one of the things which made me test. I dread to think how ginormous they are gonna get!

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 14:37

Are you a recently new BFP too?? Smile

OP posts:
LittlePeaPod · 24/07/2013 14:55

Congratulations Op. Yes that's all normal. My boob have gone up 3 sizes since geting BFP (now 16+6). Also they really hurt from about 5 weeks, got the blue vains and nipples changed size and shape.

poopyisapig · 24/07/2013 14:58

I found out I was pregnant on monday, my period wasn't even due until tomorrow and changing breasts were my first sign, over a week ago. I've gone up a cupsize already, my nipples feel sore/strange and they are covered in very attractive blue veins.

I had a mmc in May, exactly the same happened. Only, after the MC my breasts didn't go down. So, I began the year a 36D, now I am a 36F.

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 15:00

It is amazing what the body does isn't it??
My little Bee-Bee was only conceived 3 weeks ago and already this is happening. The whole thing is mind blowing really Smile

I got my BFP on Saturday too, it's now been 4 weeks since my last period, my boobs have been fine so far but every afternoon around 4pm my stomach bloats quite painfully and I suddenly look about 4 months gone, by morning it's gone again. Is THAT normal? Grin

poopyisapig · 24/07/2013 15:40

Golden, I have been getting that bloat too, it's horrible!

ComtesseDeFrouFrou · 24/07/2013 15:43

First baby OP? 30 weeks with DC1 here. I expected some growth, but this is ridiculous... 34F and on a bad day, they feel like they're still growing Hmm

Writerwannabe83 · 24/07/2013 15:44

It is first baby, yes Smile

When my sister got pregnant her boobs went absolutely massive!!!!

I don't want that to happen to me, lol Grin

OP posts:
FoxMulder · 24/07/2013 15:54

Hmm, this is definitely not happening to me yet. 5+6 and still no boobs.

misskatamari · 24/07/2013 16:20

The bloating is crazy early on! Also te thirst! At about 6 weeks I just could not get enough water!
