possibly pregnant on implanon...

Hello all.

I am currently on the implanon. Only it runs out in 2 months.

Problem is, im having pregnancy symptoms.
I am anorexic, and now i have a bump.
I dont know if im obsessing over it due to my anorexia. Or if i am infact pregnant.

I have 4 kids already. So i know how it feels. I feel pregnant.

With a bump to go along with it though. Oh my...

Just above my pubic bone is where my belly creeps out a bit. Then if i rub my hand up it, it stops above my belly button.
Now im a size 4, and my pants are feeling tight.

I am very obsessional and irrational at times.
So im battling with the fact it could all be in my head.
But im weeing every ten minutes. When i need a wee it feels like pressure, as if i must go now.
My inner thighs are achy. It feels like im pulling something in my groin when i move. Lower back ache. Sore nipples. Niggly bubble feelings in my lower stomach.

Am i just being paranoid?

Forgot to add (my last post vanished so had to redo).
I have had almost all of the early preg symptoms about a month ago. Sickness, migraines, headaches, backache and even fainted, itchy breasts etc.
I thought nothing of it though, until thr bump appeared.
Which might be bloating. But its not going away. It gets much bigger after ive eaten too

best thing to do is take a pregnancy test but it certainly sounds like you could be pregnant good luck xx

Could you be pregnant? I mean, have you been having sex? Have you tested?

Hmmm... i have a partner and we have a very healthy sex life. I havent tested. I never thought of pregnancy with me being on implanon. Until, like i say, i developed a bump.

I have also heard that hpt come up neg when you have implanon. Is this true?

I got pg on implanting, but it happened immediately, first month I had it in. You do get a positive test result on implanon.g

I believe faulty ones are rare, one in ten thousand, and that I had one as I conceived immediately. I don't understand why yours worked up until now, but they are filled with hormones so maybe yours ran out early?

Definitely take a test!

It is my second one. The first one worked fine. For the full three years.

I may just be paranoid. But i really do feel pregnant.
I will get a test. Its the only thing i can do really.

I didnt think the implant would stop working, as like i said my last one worked the full three years.
But when i google it. They all say it works UPTOthree years. Theres only 2 months left. So it has done its job, even if I am. I cant complain about the implant.
So makes me wonder if its possible that it has ran out.

Its just awful not knowing! Lol not that any one on here can answer me.

think if you feel you are, you probably are. But only a test will give you an answer.

I remember trying to explain away all my pg symptoms even though it felt exactly like it did the previous two times, because I was on the implant and couldn't get pregnant. Only after throwing up the morning after a wedding where I had only two drinks did I do a test.
I am so glad I was though as I love my little ds2 and he was clearly meant to be here!

My friend had the implant and when she was 2/3 months away from it 'running out' (end of the 3 years) her periods went all odd and the nurse recommended changing it incase it had run out early.

Maybe a blood test at the doctors would be more conclusive? Def get it checked out, you will need extra support if you are pregnant by the sounds of if xxx Good luck! Hope you get the result you are after.

Thank you everyone. During my catch up with hollyoaks tonight, i sat with my hand on my belly and there was alot of squirming going on. Be it gas or movement idk. But... i seen movement. Whether its in my head or not but im positive im feeling lil taps to my lower right side. Which is where i seen movement!

I really dont think it was gas. Oh my oh me. Im scared haha.

I am a nurse who assists GP's that fit implanon.
She tells me that there was an early problem with the construction of the fitting device whereby the actual implant wasn't secured into it. In a few cases it has been known to drop out on the trolley unnoticed during the fitting process, thus never actually having been implanted at all.
Check your arm, can you actually feel the implant beneath your skin??

Don't think the implant can harm the baby, I had mine in for two months when pg with Ds 2. I think it should definitely be ok if the hormones have run out!

Im worrying that im imagining it all this morning.

I am an anxious mess here. Im terrified of testing . Even though i think the docs would be my best bet if im feeling movement. But jesus...why am i so nervous!!

What if im not and all of this is in my head? What does that make me?
What if i am? How do i deal with all of the "oh my god...are you mad" comments!!
