It can be normal. I had a sub-chorionic hematoma in my last pregnancy and bled loads. Bleeding in pregnancy is more common than you think. However, it can mean the start of mc so take care and rest up, if you can.

I hope it all works out for you x

Thats what I fear more than anything. Not overdone things but was very stressed last night and this morning so praying things will be ok x

I'm afraid I had a MC which started with spotting, however I've also had light spotting in both my successful pregnancies, and have been told it's very normal (I know people who have regularly bled with blood clots and everything through successful pregnancies).

Take care, try to get some rest, and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you,

Thank you. How long do I leave it before I test again any ideas?

I had some light bleeding around 5 weeks and then a heavier bleed at 8 weeks. The bleed at 8 weeks was due to me overdoing it, I volunteer for a wildlife group and had been out all day digging ponds. Dr said it was perfectly normal but to try not to overdo it too much and drink plenty of fluid. I'm now 10+6 and haven't had any further bleeds.

I hope all goes well for you.

It can take up to 2 wks for your hormone levels to return to normal if you do, so a PG test might still return a positive.

I don't want to be insensitive but, for what it's worth, I had a MC at 7 wks and it was very obvious, heavy bleeding, lots of clots, tissue and debris. It hurt, and it lasted for about 2 wks. I think you'll know if you're miscarrying.

Its just brown I have had a very small bit of blood like substance in it but no pain or discomfort at all x

I had what bornagain had with DD, and a bit of brown spotting with DS. I wouldn't say it's 'normal' but it's common. I expect more times that not it's fine and nothing bad comes of it.

My doctor was far more conscientious about the second; I called OOH with the first spotting and they just said if it was a miscarriage there wasn't much that could be done. When I mentioned (casually, given my first experience) to the doctor looking after me the second time that I'd bled, she immediately sent me down to the monitoring unit in the hospital.

I had this with current pregnancy it lasted like 10 days and I was convinced I was mc-ing even the early pregnancy unit were amazed at my BFP..... I'm 20 weeks today with a very active baby girl :)
