Just that really.

I was diagnosed with one last week at 6+1. Baby measuring fine for dates and nice strong heartbeat. But bleeding keeps coming and going - sorry if TMI, I have a short 'gush' which soaks a liner then it quickly tails off completely only to come back in the same way a few days later. Bleeding is all brown so far. I was told it is close to buy underneath the pregnancy sac. And it's fairly small - I think 11mmx5mmx6mm.

I'm so very scared. This baby took three years to concieve and I've already had one m/c in that time.

Please someone tell me you've had the same and it's all going to be ok. Thank you.

Had one with my second pregnancy; orange bleeding around 9w and they found it at the scan then. Was classed as 'threatened miscarriage' for the rest of the 1T and they have me all those leaflets about miscarrying which was just lovely!! Thankfully the bleeding stopped, I got through the first trimester (and the second, and the third) and he's now a stroppy two year old!
Had bleeding with my first as well but no cause was found then; thankfully this time I had no bleeding at all.

Good luck!

Hope the scan goes well Smile

I had this. Bleeding happened at 7 weeks and 12 weeks and both those times i was sure it was all over. I got a couple of extra scans and some spottinf later on which i was warned could happen. Dd2 arrived at 37 weeks (new years day).

Again no one seemed to worried (except me) and i remember sonographer saying it was pretty common.

Hope it all goes well for you x

I had this with bleeds at 6, 8, 10 weeks then another random bleed at 25 weeks where i had to go and stay in the antenatal wards. It was horribly stressful so you have my sympathies.

Son born at 41 weeks, no issues at all from the bleeding.

Thank you lovely MNers for making this not do terrifying. I will report back after the scan.

Had my scan this morning and baby looking just as it should and SCH possibly now a bit smaller. It's definitely not touching the pregnancy sac and is sat underneath it toward the cervix, so I guess that's pretty good news. Was feeling great until I had a heavy bleed this afternoon, almost like a period but wrong colour and only lasted an hour. Now stopped again. Hopefully it's just the rest of the SCH thing clearing out...but I desperately want it just to stop now!

Anyway, thank you all so much for you support - it has really helped this week.

Brilliant, really glad to hear that Smile Hope you have a lovely boring pregnancy now, I will keep my eyes peeled for a live birth thread Wink

Yaay to the good scan and baby looking just as it should, and untroubled by the ongoing bleeding (or the worry its causing :-) - which fingers crossed is just practice for the lifetime of parenting ahead).

PickleSarnie · 25/07/2013 21:28

Yay. Fab news. Here's to a really uneventful rest of your pregnancy x

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 25/07/2013 22:10

That's great news :)

Never posted before but wanted to share my experience of a subchorionic hematoma (thus far!!)

I started bleeding two weeks ago when I thought I was 6 weeks pregnant... Thought that it was obviously a miscarriage (as have had two previous) but the bleeding was different... It was light for 3 says then stopped and I thought I had had an easy miscarriage but then a week after the initial bleed I had major continuous bleeding filling pads like there was no tomorrow... after 3 days of this I started to feel really faint so took myself to A&E as i thought maybe I need a D&C (Dilation and Curettage) to help the miscarriage along.

They sent me to early pregnancy ward (At this time I was peeing out blood!) and I eventually had a scan where they said that there was a baby with a heartbeat and a very large hematoma blood clot in my womb causing all the bleeding. They said the baby had a strong heartbeat and that I looked around 6-7 weeks.

The advice was to rest up and come back in two weeks for another scan to check on both baby and hematoma.

So its 5 days since the scan and I have on and off heavy bleeding (worse at night) and constant little bleeding but filling pads pretty frequently.

The consultant Gynae is actually a good friend of mine and she said the body will absorb the clot and everything should be fine.

I have two kids already and never experienced any bleeding or anything similar to this with either of them (although they are 8 and 12!!)

Anyway next scan is in 9 says so will update then if not before!
