it's salbutamol (sp?)

I only use it when my hayfever kicks in and my chest tightens, which it has done today. I also fell realy sick today so it would be nice of I could feel better chest-wise

I'm 6 weeks pregnant

My doctor said the risky thing was NOT taking your medication if you're asthmatic and pg. Your asthma can chage during pg as well, so keep an eye on things and get to your gp for a review of necessary.

I took mine tooSmile

NotQuiteCockney · 08/06/2006 14:40

Yeah, as others have said, you must use it. Being short of breath is no good while pg.

JessaJam · 08/06/2006 14:42

Take it, the risk to the baby of having a breathless mum is worse than any risk assocaited with the medication (esp if you hardly ever use it anyway as you imply)
I used mine throughout. I also found that my asthma improved LOTS during pregnancy ( back again now though...)

Yes! And make sure you see your asthma nurse/GP asap to get advice on managing your asthma during pregnancy.
