Hi! Someone please tell me this is a normal pregnancy symptom!
Am 23 weeks, and last night my ankles/feet were a bit swollen. They are still a bit swollen this morning and my feet feel tingly.

i only got swollen feet at the end of my two previous pregnancies, with one finishing in pre-eclampsia. Is it normal to have swollen feet at 23 weeks?

I have taken my blood pressure with our BP cuff, so not the most accurate, it seems normal.

I am getting stressy, not helped by DH going on at me about 4 different subjects this morning already. Angry

It can be. But go and get your urine checked for protein just in case. This morning.

Hello TwoTears. Well, it was normal for me in this hot weather. I'm now 39 weeks and have permanently fat feet and ankles. I started getting swelling in my feet around the 20+ weeks stage. MW was very relaxed about it as BP remained normal and it was warm weather. Have you any other symptoms? Why not ring your MW today given your history for a quick chat and some reassurance?

I have just made a Drs appt, but not till this afternoon. I have already cried at the receptionist! Pregnancy hormones are a wonderful thing Confused

Best to get it checked out x

Ask them for some of the pee testing sticks they use at midwives appointments. I have high blood pressure when pregnant and it was very reassuring to be able to check for protein. It meant I could have acted quickly had I needed to.

Will the dr give me pee testing sticks?? That would be good! Not that I am fretting or anything.

hi two, I'm the same - my ankles are slightly swollen as are my fingers. I am 25 weeks and had a midwife appointment last Friday who said it must be due to the heat as my blood pressure was fine. I got it as soon as the weather turned hot so I'm pretty sure that's what it is

TwoTearsInABucket · 22/07/2013 12:05

Thanks Pentagon, I am pretty sure that that's all it is as well. I have also spent most of the weekend sitting at a computer working, which won't help.

I just get paranoid because of the previous pre-eclampsia.

Maybe the dr can give me something to control the crying as well! That's worse than the ankles Wink
