Hi,
I am taking Ondansetron for sickness and its helping but is causing constipation... Does anyone know if there are any laxatives safe to use in pregnancy please?

Thanks

Hi,
I'm also on ondansetron and cyclizine as I am suffering from hyperemesis. Constipation has been a real problem. However after prune juice, and prescription senna and glycerine suppositories I'm now on movicol. It's been fantastic. I had quite a bad blockage after not being able to go for over a week. GP was about to send a nurse to do an enema but the movicol helped within a few hours. I had 5 sachets to start with but now only need one every few days.

Crushed flax seed (2 -3 desert spoons a day, on cereal/in eggs etc) should get things moving for the longer term, IMO they are much more affective than prunes.
