New thread ladies!

Happy birthday for tomorrow Bod sounds like you have a lovely day lined up!
DH is looking after DS tomorrow so I can go for a trip into York and a mooch round the shops. First stop will be a child free latte in Betty's!

Demanding DH go get me the new Spicy Nacho Burger meal from KFC immediately and bursting into tears at royal baby announcement....yes, think I'm defo pregnant Grin

IBelieveInPink · 22/07/2013 21:39

Ahh, my unborn daughters future husband has been born. Perfect timing. How lovely ;)

I do feel a bit bad for them in a way. Poor couple. It's bad enough worrying about fending off excited family, never mind the whole of the worlds press. Hopefully they will manage to get some peace and enjoy being a family.

jmf294 · 22/07/2013 21:46

Watching footage of Diana with the young princes brought tears to my eyes. She would have been delighted.
I hope William, Kate and their young prince all have a much happier life together.

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 22/07/2013 22:06

Cam I'm having a scan tomorrow too. If you see a short speccy bird in a white and blue floaty top and black longs, that'll be me. Your more than welcome to have a RL {{{hug}}}. X

fod27 · 22/07/2013 22:16

Ooooo Gary how fabulous!!!! To hear of someone going full term after a hellish time is absoloubtly liberating!! Also the ladies as far along as 19 and 20 weeks!!! Inspiring stuff! So glad I returned to see the positives but truly heartbroken for the others.... Life is sooo crap at times! My work mates and I attended a leaving meal for a colleague which turned into a wake after hearing that another colleague had committed suicide on sat evening (life is soooo crap) especially as we found out the same day as our BFP!)

On a lighter note my soon to be DH has insisted that I spend the next 8 weeks on my back and that I'm no longer allowed to punish the DC! Silver linings eh?

Chocolateteabag · 22/07/2013 22:43

Ahh post birth meal of Pizza for KMid Grin - will be the best Pizza she's had I'll bet!

Garryyyyyyy??????! you still there? Wink

GaryBuseysTeeth · 23/07/2013 08:14

Good luck today DIY & Saggy!
Cam, holding on to posifrickingtivity for you, but hope if it is the end for this pg you're given the all clear & it's 'just' a straightforward mc. xx

Still here, 15mins apart but they seem to be getting less intense. Hmm I have a feeling I'll still be pregnant next year week!

shell, how was your burger? I think I'll send DH out for McD's if this turns into him staying off work today!

((Bod)) I found out I was pg with this one a while before K-Mid was announced & my first thought was 'thank fudge I'm pg again already'.

Hope everyone else managed a decent night sleep! Bloody thunder was so loud.

Thundercatsarego · 23/07/2013 08:19

Me? Sorry if I kept anyone awake, I was trying to be quiet.

Good luck saggy and DIY x

poopyisapig · 23/07/2013 08:27

I am so sorry to hear some of the news on here yesterday.

I wish I hadn't tested so early now. I had some horrible sharp pains last night.

jmf294 · 23/07/2013 08:27

Good luck Gary- hope all goes well.

Hope scans go well for DIY and Saggy.

Fod- so sorry to hear about the loss of your colleague, how very sad, they must have been in a dark place.

Thunder- next time bring lots of cooling rain, fed up of being hot!!

Awaiting royal baby name and wondering if it will be our current favourite James!!

GuffSmuggler · 23/07/2013 08:42

Good luck with the scans DIY and saggy.

Thinking of you cam x

IBelieveInPink · 23/07/2013 08:48

Good luck for scans today!

Gary - super exciting! Hopefully not long to go now!

Thunder - yes, shhh. Kept me awake all night and I have a busy day today! ;)

I have been really trying not to moan, I love the heat I do, but it's too damn hot!! I can't take it!! Sorry, I know we should be grateful for it, but it's just unbearable trying to sleep now!! Raaa! Pity anyone with morning sickness in this heat!

WhatWillSantaBring · 23/07/2013 08:55

bod its strange isn't it, feeling resentment for someone who has had their baby even when you're pg. I'm like that at the mo, though wierdly not with K-Mid, even though she announced when I was not pg.

I really feel for all the girls who lost their babies yesterday, because it will be impossible to hide from all the crap. (And whilst I am an ardent monarchist and very excited about the whole thing, there is SOOOO much crap being spouted. "Oh yes, its quite likely that the baby and the mother will be examined to make sure that they're all fit and well before they're allowed to go home." No shit sherlock Hmm)

IBIP - sorry to say that Baby C is already earmarked for my DD1. I have an in too. (My sister met the brother recently, on a social level. He liked her dog.) Slightly disappointed that its a boy, partly because I'm convinced I'm having a boy too (and despite what my mother says, I don't think the monarchy is that modern yet) and partly because it would have been so much more historic if it had been a girl. We're not going to see another Queen crowned in our lifetimes ladies...

Haven't even started thinking of discussing names yet, but had an emergency chat with DH this morning to lay cards on the table re boy favourites, just in case. Currently my faves are Harry (though christened Henry) and Freddie (Alfred). Boys names are sooooooooo hard. I really want a boy but if I have a girl, I have a heap of names I'd like to use.

shellsocks · 23/07/2013 09:03

I'm giving in pink and moaning...DH has had to take the morning off to look after DS, I'm full of cold/sore throat and didn't sleep hardly at all last night just lay there sweating like mad and burning up Hmm I feel terrible, woe is me Hmm

Good luck for your scans diy and saggy Smile

Thinking of you cam, myrtle and venus x

gary burger was AWESOME highly recommended Grin I couldn't eat at all in labour so get your maccies in now before its too late Wink Hope things start moving along today, did you get much sleep?

JBrd · 23/07/2013 09:15

Good luck for the scans today, saggy and DIY, fingers crossed for good news!

My heart goes out to the ones who are/have just lost their babies, there is nowhere to hide at the moment, is there. Hugs to you all xxx

Feeling really tearful today - combination of a bad night's sleep (bloody thunderstorms, plus having DS in bed with us, something we never usually do) and the Royal baby coinciding more or less with my EDD from my mc Sad I can't help feeling sooo jealous of Kate and William, who are now having the gorgeous newborn cuddles. I know it's stupid, but I can't help it.

I think I will have to tell my boss I'm pg soon - my appointment with the consultant came through yesterday, and it's the day before my booking in appt, so I will have to take time off twice on consecutive days. Unless I can move one of the appointments, to have them both on the same day, then I can just take a half day and come up with an explanation of lots of tests etc. But I think I'd like to tell her, just in case it all goes wrong and I suddenly have to disappear... Decisions, decisions.

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 23/07/2013 09:24

So sorry Myrtle and Venus. It does suck. But I'm sure we'll get there soon. Flowers Xx

Saggy - I'll keep my eye out. I'm not a 'single glistening tear rolling down the cheek kind of person'. If you see someone wailing, blotchy face, tears and snot everywhere etc that'll likely be me. Failing that I'll have my long haired metaller DH with me potentially with a single glistening tear)! I really hope your scan goes brilliantly lovey. Good luck. X

DIY - I was convinced it would be a girl too.

Good luck today Gary. Very exciting!

CamomileHoneyVanilla · 23/07/2013 09:26

And good luck with the scan DIY. X

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 23/07/2013 10:01
