New BFP - what can't I do?

Hello everyone, I got my BFP today and now I'm paranoid about what I can and can't do in terms of keeping the little bean safe.

Is it true we aren't supposed to take pain killers?

And aren't there certain foods pregnant women can't eat??

Thanks in advance for your advice Smile

I've been obsessively looking at the nhs website to check what we can and can't do. I can't link on my phone but the website is

www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/pages/pregnancy-and-baby-care.aspx

I think paracetamol is ok. Soft cheeses you have to be careful with, and certain fish like swordfish as they contain Mercury. Stay away from the animal form of vitamin a, it's in liver.

Make sure you're taking folic acid, and cook things like chicken and eggs well :)

Dont drink alcohol.
Dont eat certain cheese i.e brie. Or pates.
Dont take anti inflammatories. [paracetomol ok].
Avoid raw egg and rare/medium cooked meats.
Wear gloves if cleaning a cat tray out [if got one].
Be careful in this sun due to skin being more sensitive.

just a few of the of the DONT's for the next 9 months but im sure the ladies on here wil add to them :-)

My brain is packing up for the day...zzzzzzzzz
