I work 12 hour shifts and im a nurse so im on my feet most if the time. Its bad enuff usually when pregnant cos worked to tje end with my last, but this heat is making it unbearable.

Im jst about 6 weeks so the all consuming exhaustion is just starting up and the place i work in is on the top floor with no ventilation or even windows that open wide, its stifling. To top it off its pretty smelly.

anyone else in similar jobs? I know it wont help me in my situation but might make me feel bit better to think im not alone in this!

I can't say I'm in a similar job but I work 9 hour days in retail in a department store, the air con is ok in the morning but by lunchtime it's stifling and I feel on the verge of passing out :( also on my feet all day. I'm 11 weeks so almost out the first trimester but I felt absolutely rubbish from 4-10 weeks. Constant nausea and exhaustion :(

I work 6 10 hour shifts in a row a mixture of days lates and backs. Im only 9 weeks but was exhausted up until a couple of days ago. It seems to have eased a bit thankfully but i dont enjoy them at the mo.

Im stuck in an office with no air con or ventilation so can completely understand where youre coming from Smile.

Hopefully for both of us it will get more bearable soon Grin

Yup i work 12hr day and night shifts (resi youth work so kept on my toes all shift) and with bars on windows stopping them open more than a crack and no air con. Its hell when things are unsettled :(
Very hot inside and at night i cant open the windows as i react badly to midgie bites
Roll on autum and winter! Im only 14weeks and dont know how others further along can cope!

Long days (12 - 18hrs inc travel), 5 days a week, but very grateful that I live in a cooler country, don't envy you ladies at all!

Cookiepants · 19/07/2013 21:34

Meeee! Just another week 3 days, 3 nights left before I leave though. These hot days have been a killer.

curlywurlyllass · 20/07/2013 20:52

Cheers mortified, i forgot about that spray! But is it the pink or green bottle? I know one is better than the other :)

lozza22 · 20/07/2013 21:06

Long Days yes! I'm nearly 20 weeks and the tiredness hasn't passed and to top it off i keep almost fainting and have to sit down every five minutes. So fun times in this heat. Even better when its a 99% male work environment, i just look weak. Moan moan moan .....
