I know I'm probably just being paranoid, but feeling really worried about the concept of cervical shortening.
It seems to be really quite common & I've got a number of risk factors - previous D&C for mc and one termination when young. Also had trauma to cervix via mirena coil.
But as the Drs don't check routinely, how the heck would I know until it's too late???
I keep symptom spotting - I have been getting lots of 'pushing' feelings against my cervix, almost like period starting. It's caused me to have a 'check' and I felt like my cervix was low, squishy and more open than usual (sorry TMI). I've also just learnt that what I thought was baby moving when tummy goes really hard is actually Beaton hicks (I'm 20 weeks)
Should I be worried? How would I know if I had this and is it down to me to push the drs to check or would they pick it up themselves if it was an issue? Thank you for advice / experiences
