Hi,
I'm 19+3 and still haven't felt the baby move (I don't think?). Is this normal? Have become really worried (and maybe slightly obsessive?) as people keep asking 'Have you felt it move yet?' and I hate saying no :(

Also, have had quite bad low abdominal pain for a few days, which I am assuming is because I have suddenly developed a bump over the last week and my muscles etc are getting used to it. Does that sound normal to anyone?

Would love any advice from anyone!

Hi Leonas,
The exact same happened to me, am 22w exactly today.
I was feeling crampy pains in my lower abdomen, and wondering if that was the baby etc or if it was my muscles or what was happening and then at 19+6 I felt a proper kick and knew it was a kick,.
Dont worry, my midwife told me that at this stage even once you have felt them kick, they dont happen regularily enough to keep track of, amd a lot of people dont feel,a thing until past 20 weeks.
Try not to worry.
Sorry for typos, am on phone xxx

Hi Leonas,
I am also 19 weeks and you sound just like me! I also hate it when people ask me if I've felt the baby move yet and I have to say no, it makes me feel either really stupid or like something must be wrong (and therefore something else to worry about) I actually went to my GP this morning about something unrelated and just had to ask them about the baby movements too... and they said they would not usually expect me to feel movement yet (but lots of women do) and it is completely normal not to feel anything for a good while yet, and depends on lots of different things.
The pains sound like the abdo pain i've had a lot for a good long time, along with various other pregnancy related aches and pains. Again all completely normal, but if it gets very bad and you continue to worry, def get it checked out.
Hope that helps!

Thank you both so much - had lots of stories from friends etc about feeling movement from 17wks and it is great to hear from other people in the same boat as me!
