Only 12 weeks but can't bear being out in the sun. Am I the only one?

Normally the sun doesn't affect me that much and I normally embrace he chance to be outside having picnics etc.

This year though I cannot even bear the thought of sitting in the shade and am hiding indoors. I won't be able to keep this up when the school holidays start though, I will have to take the dc out and about. I have no idea how I will cope with this.

anyone else feeling the same?

Over here! I am 17+6 and the thought of going outside brings me out in a sweat. I overheat and feel dizzy.

JumpingJacks · 17/07/2013 12:04

Oh crying, I know what you mean, I felt dizzy this morning at dd1's sports day, had to stand in the scorching heat for ages.

This heatwave is set to last isn't it?

Lots of people feel the same atm even not being pregnant. It's VERY hot atm and completely unsustainable to want to keep in the shade.

MortifiedAdams · 17/07/2013 12:05

Only 6.3 here and I am desperate for autumn. Keep remebering that I will have dropped by next summer so only this one to get through. The thought of being 35+ wks in this heat makes me very nauseus¡

UnderstandableGrin

JumpingJacks · 17/07/2013 12:09

Oh yes mortified, I really feel for those that are heavily pregnant. They must be really suffering in this heat.

I keep seeing all the pictures of all the dc on the beach and feel guilty for not taking the dc. But can't begin to imagine spending a day on the beach.

I wouldn't take my child to the beach until well into the evening when the sun is less fierce.

I am looking after my step sister and her DS for the week as her partner went back to work this week and she had a CS so can't do much. They have a lovely garden with loads of shade which I can just about cope with. The journey to her house on the bus makes me feel like I am dying though. I am not a hot weather person normally, add pregnancy to the mix and it's just unbearable.

I'm 25 weeks and can't stand being out in the heat, my legs feel like they've turned into jelly and feel dizzy too. Dread to think how it must be for those even further along!

Dusty04 · 17/07/2013 17:21

Total sun worshipper normally grabbing every last second of the sun.. But currently sat inside while DH waters the garden.. I LOVE summer normally but the sun is making me feel dizzy and faint.. Hoping next year is as sunny! I'm 16+6..

Preggobear · 17/07/2013 17:36

Me too! I'm 24 weeks and normally when not pregnant I love the sun but at the moment I just can't bear it!! Literally a few minutes in the sunshine and I feel all hot and bothered. Even sitting in the shade is too much for me some days
