Has anyone experience of this? I get scanned eevry two weeks as high risk pregnancy. today told that the baby is small - still weighs less than a pound (should be two).

they are going to keep an eye on me but consultant said it could be cause for concern and a sign baby not getting enough nourishment, in which case they'll want to get it out early.

I haven't put on heaps of weight, have a very small bump, but am eating well, drinking lots of water and taking vitamins.

i have read of people measuring small and having good sized babies. but often these stories are measurements without a scan.

has anyone scanned small and gone on to be ok? thanks in advance :)

I seem to have small babies but only a week difference but by the time 30+ weeks they're making up for it.

I'm currently 20+1 with twins and one is measuring at 17+4.

If your baby is growing well and no problems have been detected, I wouldn't worry too much they gave plenty of time grow! :)

I was measuring two weeks behind throughout my pregnancy. Had a scan at 32 weeks and DS was allegedly right on 50th percentile for weight. When he finally came out at 40+3 he weighed 9lbs4oz (and that was after doing two poos!)

Hi Kelly. I had a scan that showed DS was small for dates. He had to be delivered early but three years on is very healthy. Hopefully you will not need out but there is a thread in the premature birth section about this topic, title is something about placental insufficiency. Lots of helpful info from others who have experienced this.

Hopefully all is well. I wish you all the best.

Thanks all.

Celtic promise that's really useful, will go over to that thread and have a look.

Baby doesn't seem to be growing that well and the fact they are scanning to measure it worries me as thisis more accurate.
