Looking for a good book to read but at the moment all the front covers of happy mums in cozy knits grinning at their babies is making me queasy, but that might just be the morning sickness....

I liked the Rough Guide to Pregnancy, and What to expect when you're expecting...very different styles but I didn't find either of them really cheesy x

I have learned everything I needed to know about pregnancy from Mumsnetters!

Just sat reading The Rough Guide. Brilliant. Informative and funny x

I have just bought 'what to expect in the first year.' seems very detailed so far, and easy to access different sections and find what you want advice about.

my partner liked 'the blokes guide to pregnancy.'

More about childbirth than pregnancy, but Ina May's guide to childbirth is a very inspiring read.

I liked what to expect when you're expecting. I'm afraid I hated the rough guide. It wasn't detailed enough.

I have got, your pregnancy week by week by Prof Leslie Regan, I love it

The only book I have bought is 'Confessions of a Bad Mother'. She gives a realistic view of being a mother, and gets stuff wrong, rather than give an expectation that everything has to be perfect. Its quite short, and not very well written, but made me feel at ease to know I dont have to get everything right to be a good mum (not that these other books do give that impression necessarily)
