So I am 31+3 weeks gone and at around 5 o'clock this morning I woke up with a strong shooting pain only over the ride side of my bump Hmm and seemed to be made worse when baby moved. I tried laying on both side and on my back but nothing seemed to help until I sat up.......only then did the pain ease off.

This is my 2nd time being pregnant but I did not experience this 1st time around.

Could any of you ladies please help by telling me what it could be as I would feel silly mentioning to MW as it was only for a brief period....... Thankyou Smile

Do mention it to your mw as its painful enough to wake you.

Possibly a trapped nerve?

Thankyou shelly that was the first thing I thought of maybe that baby was laying on a nerve..... I will give it a mention tomorrow as I am seeing the MW anyway Smile

I had something similar a couple of weeks ago (I'm 32+5), slept wiht a pillow under my bump the next night which helped me get comfy, and it stopped after that. No idea what it was though!

Just to let you's know what happened....
Well I did mention it to my widwife as I got the pain again........but this time it was agony ended up on the phone to my mum in tears not being able to move!

I knew it wasn't labour because it was a totally different pain...

Anyway told my midwife and she tested my waters which came back +protine..so I have a UTI and baby is making it worse because he is head down and applying a lot of pressure (hence the pain)

Midwife has now told me to rest a lot as I could be at risk for pre-term labour due to the pain and not knowing how long I have had this infection Sad

So now I am on anti-biotics and feeling crappy

Thankyou for you replies Ladies

Thanks for letting us know, I'll mention it to my MW if it comes back.
