Yep,36 weeks and seriously struggling! Got my.puffy feet in cool water, Ice cubes to crunch lol! I am living on ready meals as well cos it is to bloody hot to cook a proper dinner :) thank god ky 3 other dc have hot dinners at school! I can get away with feeding them sandwiches fruit and yoghurts when they come home!!

Preggobear · 15/07/2013 18:06

If I'm feeling it at 24 weeks it must be so hard for you at 36 especially with 3 DCs to look after!! I know what you mean about cooking in this weather, it's the last thing you want to be doing. Take it easy, I hope you are getting plenty of help and rest where you can

I am 39 weeks and have been sat all day with a fan on and my poor swollen feet up on a chair. I am slowly coming round to the idea that it is going to be roasting when I go into labour and I have no idea how I am going to cope.

I'm not a fan of hot weather at the best of times and I am struggling. My poor feet don't even fit into my Birkenstocks anymore, even though I have put them on the last buckle hole!! I may be going bare foot to the hospital!!

greenj1 · 15/07/2013 18:08

Well my 3 dc are being very helpful! I'm doing this as a single mum this time as well, but you just have to get on don't you!! I bet you can't wait til maternity leave :)

greenj1 · 15/07/2013 18:10

Dolally...lots of cool flannels for The birth ;) it really does suck being pregnant in a heatwave!

Tulip2013 · 15/07/2013 18:14

I totally agree! I'm 27 weeks + 5 and really suffering. Getting on the train feels like stepping into an oven. I just heard on the radio the hear might last until end of July. Argh!!!!!

Dolallytats · 15/07/2013 18:22

greenj1, I have actually bought a 12in desk fan to take with me because I'm scared they won't have one!! I also have the flannel, a water spray and am freezing bottles of water to take with me!! I think that's all bases covered!!!

Preggobear · 15/07/2013 18:25

Greenj glad to hear your kids are helping you! Bless them! I cannot wait until maternity leave!! It is such a struggle to concentrate at work, I am about as useful as a chocolate teapot after lunch!

I'm so hot and tired I'm a weepy mess, and I'm only 26+5!

I cannot get enough water on board either. The only nice bit is my commute in my air conditioned car, although checking my blind spot is getting trickier due to my expanding bump!

mustardtomango · 15/07/2013 18:45

My god yes... On a train right now and my phone registers 91f on here. I'm literally baking, poor hot bub in there. 24 weeks, this isn't fun

31 weeks here.....and I am an emotional wreck with the heat.........asif I need another reason not to be able to sleep at night Sad

Tulip2013 · 15/07/2013 19:32

Thanks ladies! You've made me feel less alone. Feeling so hot was making me really down!

Bippidee · 15/07/2013 19:33

Right there with you all! 31+1 and it's horrible. However, dunking myself in a cold bath was heavenly (even if i did start heating it up mainly with my feet )

FoofFighter · 15/07/2013 19:49

Remember to eat lots of cold watery stuff too as there is only so much water you can drink Confused stuff like watermelon and cucumbers are lovely and cooling as well as being full of water too. And ice poles/jubblies.

My mom bought this today and said its really good. The brand name is magicool but she bought this one

34 weeks here and getting fed up with how cranky the heat is making me feel! I even resorted to having a cold shower in the middle of the night...can't wait until it cools down!

Longfufu · 16/07/2013 07:41

36 weeks and I've had enough. Swollen feet, can't sleep...getting very irritable.

notsoold · 16/07/2013 13:30

25 weeks and although I Brazilian the heat is something else!!!
I only wear cotton and wash my hair everyday ( tying in a ponytail ) to cool me off.
Like another post I am having loads of watery veggies fruits and frozen grapes and semifrozen watermelon....
