I know this has been done to death but can someone please give me some encouraging words...?
I am 20 weeks pregnant with DC2 (DS is 6), I'm tired, I'm too hot, I have no energy, i barely sleep and my house is an utter mess Hmm
I am working tomorrow & am utterly dreading it. I finish work at end of September but until then I am struggling so much with getting through the days at the minute.
Has anyone please got any tips for keeping going in this heat & getting on with things?

Don't stress. Tidy up a wee bit at a time if you can be bothered. Ready meals, easy dinners. Lie on the sofa as often as possible. A couple of cans of misting spray to keep cool. Get help! I'm 38 weeks and so had enough!

get your freezer full of ice poles, fab for quickly cooling down. Cool wet flannels in the fridge for wiping your face/sitting with them on back of neck etc, lots of fluid, lots of watery fruit and veg (cucumber, toms, melons etc,) delegate and prioritise stuff that needs doing, break it all down into little chunks and rest as much as possible with your feet up.

36w here and suffering too :(

Thanks Foof & Soup for the sensible & good advice Smile I have had oranges & ice lollies to cool down and my plans for the rest of today involve sitting and doing nothing!
I've had one of them days today, finished off nicely by a roasting hot swimming lesson with DS! Thankfully DP has saved the day with general loveliness & doughnuts Grin
Thanks again & hope you're both following your good advice Smile

It's the only way to deal with pregnancy in this heat, laziness & fluids is the way to go Grin

Hi Im at the same stage as you with a 4 year old so I know how you feel. I have eaten alot of ice pops over the last few days. I have accepted that house work will have to wait and if I had the energy I would do a rain dance Grin Try and take it easy.

I can't do ANYTHING in this heat!!!!!! Driving me nuts! I don't think (this is SO grim) i've washed my kitchen floor since April! Shock I'm 25 weeks today, and ENORMOUS because for the last few months, all i've done is eat. So now i am huge, itchy and hot too! ugh! But i agree with the other girls, leave the housework as much as you can bear. To get thru the day when it's this hot, you're duffed up and you have another child is a flipping achievement i think! Grin. Solero's...they're good. And large iced drinks. And a paddling pool. I was beached in mine like a whale on the weekend. Poor DS had to try and splash around his monsterous mother in the small pools of water that were left around my girth! Wink
