Lots and lots of shade! I was in Crete last year when 7-8 weeks pregnant, like you it was a bit of a surprise. I felt the heat so much and I am normally a sit in the sun and bake kind of girl. Unfortunately morning sickness kicked in the second week so try and be prepared for that (hopefully you won't need to). Have a great time, Majorca's lovely.

Not as early as you but I went to Tunisia at 13wks. Agree lots of shade, water to be drunk allll day. Treat yourself to an afternoon snooze Grin every day.

Your skin might be more sensitive due to hormones. I got terrible heat rash when I went to hot countries when pregnant. You can't take anything for it either so my advise would be to stay out of the sun.

Well, in terms of going abroad, I sold a house and emigrated to Canada when I was about 12 weeks pregnant. Although I didn't know at the time. I found out a few weeks after arriving.

Just relax and enjoy yourself. Don't get too hot and stay hydrated. Have fun!

I've just been in Tenerife for a week at 10 weeks. You'll be fine - just remember to use high factor sun cream as your skin might be more sensitive to sunlight now and drink lots. I also found I couldn't sit in the sun for more than 30 minutes at a time without going lightheaded and had to go for a sleep through the day.
Enjoy it and relax by the pool :D

I went to Florida when I was 8 weeks pregnant last year, the magic kingdom did not help my queasiness. I would be prepared for if you get any kind of morning sickness, travel bands helped me.

A relaxed trip to Majorca sounds perfect though, with dc1 we went on a beach holiday when I was 16 weeks and had such a fantastic time. As others have said really, keep cool, sunscreen up and don't walk too far in the heat. Coconut water really helped me keep hydrated and feel good.

It's very unlikely that you'll need any medical care while you're away, but just in case: firstly, make sure that you have a valid EHIC card. Check your travel insurance to ensure that it covers you for pregnancy-related matters (IME most cover you in the first and second trimesters but do check) and inform your insurer of your pregnancy.
