35+3 Period pains and diarrhoea

I've been having period-like pains for about the last 3 weeks, but they've slowly gotten stronger and are pretty bad today. I also have a lot of pelvic pressure. Anyway, this afternoon I had an awful bout of diarrhoea and I'm worried now that baby is going to come early. Do you think I'm overreacting? Has this happened to anyone else this early?

I'm 34+2 and been experiencing exactly the same as you for the last week. It's my first. I wish I knew what it all meant physically. Is it just the body preparing?

Oh god, I don't know MissHinky. Hopefully someone will have an answer for us. I don't want to ring the midwife yet because she'll probably laugh at me! My first too.

Call your midwife in te morning. It may well be nothing but it will save you worrying!
