Hi all,
I thought I was around 5/6 weeks but turns out I'm only 4 weeks and 3 days. So I've been experiencing pain in my lower right side for a few days now, I've already been to the hospital and had two scans (nothing came up that appeared sinister) and the doctors are testing my HCG levels tomorrow as it'll have been 48hrs since the previous one. I'm soooo scared that it may be an ectopic pregnancy.. although she (the doctor) tried to give me some hope by showing me the beginnings of a sac forming in the right place but she told me that she's not certain.

I'm worried sick! it's a dull to sharp ache that varies through the day.. it sometimes hurts when it's pressed upon but other times it's painless. I also have mild back pain.

just need some prayers and any similar experiences that resulted in good news.

they found that I am suffering from a UTI but they're not giving me antibiotics for it until the results come back, which I found quite odd.. could the UTI cause this pain? I am not bleeding at all and my HGC (or HCG I forget) is at 329 so hopefully it'll increase as it should. I'm sick to death with it all from worrying.

I give up.... thanks for listening/reading Sad

Will pray for you. Wishing you all the best Flowers. Try to relax as much as you can.

Good luck, OP. I'm not an expert, but yes, I think a UTI could cause the kind of pain you are talking about. It's so stressful waiting for results like that. Take it easy and look after yourself, and hope you get good news!

Same as Champagne had pain on one side from an ovarian cyst, perfectly normal in early pregnancy apparently although I was terrified!

Hope all goes well for you Thanks

I wonder if it could be implantation pain? I got sharp pains when I sneezed or laughed around the time of implantation. Lots of luck Flowers

Have a hand to hold. Hope all works out okay for you. Early pg is the hardest part, IMHO. Wishing you a safe first trimester.

Flowers

Here's a hand to hold. I have no experience of ectopic pregnancies, but I have vast experience of UTIs and that could definitely be one explanation for the pain.

I wish you a safe and uneventful pregnancy.

Thank you for all your responses, really helps a lot. I'm hoping it's implantation pain, it's gone down a little so I'm still holding on to that xx

Hi Chloe this sounds almost exactly like what happened to me. I ended up in a&e thinking I was 6 weeks with horrific pain in my side.
A scan showed nothing apart from a thickened uterus lining however they found 2 ovarian cysts which explained my pain.
My hcg was at 230 at 4 weeks, so lower than yours. 48 hours later it had more than doubled to 550. A scan 2 weeks later placed me at 6+3 with a fetal pole and very strong heartbeat.
After my first scan and low hcg, the EPU doctor basically told me to expect the worst - they strongly suspected ectopic. Turns out I was too early and I had cysts. Good luck xx Flowers

I also had fluid in my pelvis which they said was suspicious of an ectopic. I basically went home crying convinced that it was an ectopic and every little twinge I thought 'that's it, it's ruptured'. You don't normally get pain in an ectopic until about 7 weeks so that's why I don't think you should worry about the pain in your side.
Pregnancy can do all sorts of weird and wonderful things to our bodies, causing pain in the strangest places.
