False Positive Toxoplosmosis test anyone?

I am new to this board and not sure if this is the right place to post this question ... As my name suggests I am queen of Paranoia... This is my first baby .. And. Have just given some blood for a Toxo immunity test n canada .... Just keep reading about all the false positives that you get ... Something like that would just freak the life out of me .. Anyone out there wit any experience or information that might ease me

I have never heard of this. Perhaps it's something to worry about if it actually does happen?

If you test positive you will go for a further test to find out whether you have had it in the past, or if you contracted it while pregnant. The toxo levels in your blood will indicate this.

I tested positive and after further testing the doctor surmised I had contracted the toxoplasmosis around a year before I conceived.

Nope, not Canada. A different continent altogether.

The initial testing - I got the results back a week after I had the tests done. The next day I dropped into a blood clinic for the extra tests and had those results back in two days.

Obviously test times depend on where you live and what your medical system is like though.

lols.. that's awwryte :) ... In Canada unfortunately its a little slow but will keep fingers crossed all come fine in the initial screening.
