Third baby, head very low down at 31 weeks

I'm probably worrying for no reason but I had a scan last week and the sonographer was struggling to get the head measurements as the baby was so low down. I have a lot of pressure down there and last night was having contractions (most probably Braxton hicks) in my back and low down in my stomach for about 30 minutes. They were quite painful and felt as though they were pulsing.

I have a doctors appointment at 2:10 this afternoon just to put my mind at rest but I've been feeling sick for a couple of days and I'm a bit worried that I am going to go really early with this one.

I thought third babies only really went head down when it was nearly time!

Hi, I'm nearly 36wks with dc3. Babys been head down around 12wks now and he goes very low to point were my cervix constantly hurts, I got told that with subsequents they can engage then pop back out again. I ended up on labour ward at 31wks with regular contractions and constant period pains too. They stopped. Midwife told me with 3rds it can get more irratable. I hope your gp appointment goes well and it puts your mind at ease or they can give you answers. Obviously I can't cause everyones different, but was just letting you know I've been going through the same for weeks now. Good luck :) xx

Thank you! I'm a little bit worried as DS was a 2 hour labour and DD was born 40 minutes after getting to the hospital! The pain has died down a bit today, now just crampy and uncomfortable so hopefully it's just BH!

BH's have been much earlier and worse for me too this time. Wow they was fast. My first was 4hrs but my second was back to back n it went on for 5 days lol x
