20 week scan tomorrow...why am I so nervous??

I have felt baby move but for some reason I am still totally panicking about my scan tomora and have convinced myself something is wrong with my little DD!!
Is it just me or is it normal to feel like this before a scan?
I am excited and can't wait to see her but there is just this little niggle that won't go away!!
Think I'm going crazy!! Haha x

Totally normal to feel nervous - I was a wreck before my 12 week scan and got ill afterwards from the stress! Good luck for tomorrow, I'm sure all will be fine!

I know what you mean! Mine's this afternoon and although I get good movements from baby I'm still nervous!

Not as bad as I was before the 12 week one though.

I think its normal. I am nervous about mine approaching. Mine is a week on friday. Fingers crossed everything is ok. Good luck today :-)

RJM share with us how your scan went. There were a few of us going today, and it would be great to hear how everyone got on

I am back already from mine, and have a 'smaller than average', but perfectly formed little girl

We were convinced it was a boy as there are no girls on my husbands side, so it was a bit of a shock.

I was so pleased I treated my self to a croissant (or two) on the way home!!

We're over halfway there now, so lots to be looking forward to. I decided to only worry when there is something to worry about, and I thank the stars every day that I am lucky enough not to have anything to worry about

Hi. Sorry its so late its been a hectic day!!
Scan went well although the little monkey was playing up and wouldn't turn round so they could get the pics they needed. So after two attempts they gave up and I have to go back in two weeks so they can get the measurements of her face as she just wouldn't face forward!
But they said everything looked fine and she is at the right sizes for how far I am!
I am so pleased that my little princess is doing well!
Plus its not the worst thing to get to see her again in two weeks :-) xx

Mine was yesterday too and everything is great can't believe baby has grown so much since the 12 week scan!

I stuck to my guns and didn't ask what we were having so still a surprise

We're over half way there! When is everyone due? I'm due November 26th x

Glad it all went well ...my 20 week was the same, they couldn't get a proper look at the heart as he was laying on his stomach so his spine shadowed it...amazing quality photo of the spine though! So I've another scan on the 23rd .

I was a nervous wreck before the 12 weeks, convinced the home tests I'd done were wrong (all 10 of them!). At 16 weeks even though I'd had a scan I was worried about not hearing the heartbeat, and at the 20 week scan (which was actually done at 18+3) I was worried he wouldn't have grown enough/properly as I know I'm not eating enough (very little appetite).

No doubt I will work myself up before the 23rd lol. We also have a growth scan apparently when I'm about 28 weeks, to check for a genetic deformity in my husbands family, geneticist says chances are really slim but I'm already worrying for that one!

From what I've read everybody worries about the scans, I think I'll worry constantly until he's born and I can actually see him all the time to check he's okay!

Roll on November 29th and hope he's not too late!

Had my 20 week scan yesterday and all is well I too couldn't believe how much the baby had grown, we found out its a little baby boy and are over the moon!!! Due date is the 27th nov can't wait to meet my little man!!! Soo pleased everyone's scans went well!! :)

Similar thing happened to me at my 20 week scan. Our baby was curled up into a ball so sonographer was unable to measure its heart properly. We had to go back to get a better view. I too get really nervous prior to scans but the likelihood is it?ll measure perfectly. Just can?t wait to see my baby in the flesh soon ? 8 weeks to go and counting, woooo! x
