Hiya everyone...

Im nearly 36 wks and blimey my bits are sore! i know it sounds crude but i need to know is this normal? i cant remember with my first 2 if i was ever this swollen and enlarged, its soo bad my husband told me it looked like a bit of topside he could string and roast! Blush
Does this mean my baby is engaged already?

my fanjo grew too

it passes

nothing to do with engaging IMO

pucca · 05/06/2006 10:22

Sorry but pmsl at topside comment Grin

No advice but i have it all to come as i am 29 weeks atm.

Sounds like baby head could be engaged, has the MW checked for you?

hotmama · 05/06/2006 10:26

In the Feb 06 antenatal thread, we referred to this phenomenon as "porno flaps"! Shock

Don't won't you do go down eventually. Smile

IME not related to engagement as both my dd's were late and never fully engaged until I was in labour.

MrsLee · 05/06/2006 10:27

i dont see her till friday and will see what she says then, lol.. i know they grow in later pregnancy but sometimes its very sore too.. feels like im dragging it round everywhere with me!

PMSL! I had same sore heavy feeling few weeks ago (I'm 31 wks now) and phoned midwife (was panicking about incompetent cervix etc). She said to have a look and see if I could see anything that looks like varicose veins ... sure enough there were funny bulgy things. Apparenlty quite common with subsequent babies. Sure didn't have this with DD. Plus you're right, everything just looks bigger. Friends who also had the lovely vv say they go once you've given birth. Such a joy isn't it?!

docket · 05/06/2006 11:05

heh heh, this made me chuckle - i'm 39 weeks and have the same problem - it's horrible and i live in constant fear of camels hoofage Grin

very reassuring to hear it should go after birth!

Beauregard · 05/06/2006 11:12

GrinPmsl at 'porno flaps'

BettySpaghetti · 05/06/2006 11:19

Only on MN could you stumble across conversations like this! Thats what makes it such a great place..! Smile

expatinscotland · 05/06/2006 11:25

'Fanjo' always makes me howl w/maniacal laughter.

tyedye · 05/06/2006 12:23

Oh God,ive heard it all now,my ds had sex ed" at school recently, saw birth and was a bit green!I whispered"dont worry, they dont stay THAT big"much relief all roundGrin

Chloe55 · 05/06/2006 13:01

Don't waorry they will go down, almost immediately actually after birth. I think it is just from all the pressure in that area.

MummyToToby · 05/06/2006 19:48

mine are really sore and dry and cracked. is this normal?

trinityrhino · 05/06/2006 20:13

oh god I remeber this, ugh go it all to come ....again

I used to just HAVE to sit down sometime right that minute cause they were sore and heavy and felt like my whole fanny was gonna fall out if I didn't sit on it lol

MrsLee · 06/06/2006 13:24

Can we have Enid's "my fanjo grew too" as quote of the week on the homepage ? Pretty please ?!

dubnobasswithmyheadman · 06/06/2006 13:45

Don't worry your beef curtains will shrink in due course - brings back unpleasant memories for me...

NomDePlume · 06/06/2006 13:48

I hate that phrase.

NatalieJane · 06/06/2006 13:49

Nothing to add to the thread but is it only me that keeps reading the title as Big Tits??

kbaby · 09/06/2006 21:52

Oh god ive had the same from about 27 weeks.

I like someones roast beef line as thats exactly what they look like.

Sitting for so long is so painful and they throb.
