Are my baby's movements normal?

First pregnancy, 26 weeks today. Baby is very active which is great, but as I haven't done this before I don't know what's normal and what's not.

Most of my baby's movement are quick jerks and twitches. Every so often I will feel her flip over, but they are mainly these intense quick jerks. Is this normal? I know it sounds so silly but I thought it would be more like a wriggly feeling? It went very quickly from the fluttering feeling to these strong spasms.

Sometimes I can feel them right down into my bum aswell, really weird!!!

Feeling like a complete loon for asking this now, but they just aren't what i thought they would be like!!

Sounds like your bump gets hiccups! The quick jerks - DS had them all the time - and when he came out too!

Aw that's really cute. Should I be worried that most of her movements are like this though? They aren't in a regular rhythm though which made me think they weren't hiccups?

I'd say that's normal, the wriggles come later when little one is starting to run out of room. I'm no expert though, if you feel worried have a chat to your midwife, they'll be able to put your mind at rest.

Sounds like the same movements my little one makes too! I'm 24 weeks.

I get the bum kicks too haha!

Thank you, I'm seeing the midwife next thursday so I will check with her that all sounds normal. She's lovely so I'm sure she won't mind having a chat about it :) thanks again.

Yes I'm 32+4 and still getting good jabs but now some are wriggly juddery movements as he tries to stretch out. I never felt flutters just full on jabs now stop its awful when you don't realise you need the loo them one good kick has you running haha x

People don't warn you about the kicks in the bottom and bits!

DH laughs at me when I suddenly run, as he knows his daughter has booted me in the bladder. And no, no one warns you about the downward kicks!! It's like my bum is twitching, so weird!
