Hello Ladies,

I am 8 weeks pregnant with my second child. Yesterday was horrific, i could not keep anything down and just had to go to bed!! I slept from about 4.30 to 10pm and then all night as well. I woke up this morning and tried to go to work but had to come home at 9.30 and have slept most of the day struggling to eat and I am now having diarrhoea!!

I am not sure if this is morning sickness, a bug or something I have eaten!

Any ideas or experiences like this?

Sounds awful. I would certainly give the Dr's a bell. I'm 6 weeks and have been signed off for 2 weeks with vertigo, literally can't get out of bed, feel like shite. Dr was more understanding than I expected!

I might give it until monday and see how i am then. I have my 2 year olds birthday party on sunday and I am hoping to feel better for that!

I remember feeling bad with my first and am just holding on to the fact I know it passes!!!

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad. I'm feeling the same at nine weeks, I come straight home from work and go to bed. And I get terrible diarrhoea. I think it's all normal crazy hormones.

Come and join us on the Feb 2014 antenatal thread and you can share the pain Grin

Call Dr and get some advice but don't go in unless they say you can - if it's a vomiting bug then they won't want you to spread it.

How horrid - hope you feel better soon

Hi I am 14 wks with DC2. I have been sick as you describe through both of my pregnancies, with episodes lasting for 2 days, of constant unrelenting sickness and feeling awful and not being able to get out of bed. In between I have days of feeling ok and varying degrees of sickness and nausea. I have never been to the docs because on my ok days I hold food and water down and know its not a bug because it happens again and again, this time I have had about 4 episodes of feeling like death. I have turned a bit of a corner now at 14 wks and some of the sickness has subsided as it did last time. The doctors would only rehydrate you if you were dehydrated or maybe offer medication, which I personally wouldn't take. I think morning sickness affexts people differently and it sounds like you suffer a bit like me! I hop you feel better soon and you have my sympathies!
