Weird bump pain at 37 weeks

This may be similar to other threads on here this week but Dr Google is looking at me blankly. Am 37+4 today and have had period pains on and off for the last 5 days. Yesterday they were a bit stronger with backache as well and was feeling sick, but that eased off.

This morning, my bump is hurting all over and seems pretty hard on and off. Baby seems more active than it has been for a while and I think at least part of this all-over pain is from being stretched in every direction by its big bum.

My back is also really quite sore and I feel weird all over. Basically, like I'm on my period but bigger.

It's my last day at work and have tons to do - so could just be stress-related. Could it be anything more? Just feel weird...

Probably BH but have you timed them to see if they're regular? There have been a few threads on this in the last week and they all seem to say that likely fine, but if they persist, or you're worried then go get yourself checked out.

Sounds like you're ready for mat leave though!

Ha - that's true enough Robot!

It seems very on and off at the moment, ie on for half an hour, off for a few hours, so very much doubt it's anything interesting. But the stabby bump feeling is the weirdest yet!

It is starting to ease off now to 'just' backache so will crack on with work and count down til hometime and freedom. Thanks for replying, feel like a right fretter Grin

Please get yourself checked out Brave if it continues. I had this all over bump pain and period pain that you described the other day. I ended up having to go into triage and was told I am having contractions. Engaged 4/5...midwife has warned me that I may go into labour earlier than expected (I'm 37 weeks as well). So please call your midwife if it carries on!

Thanks Reebok - has gone for now, tho backache lingering. Next time it comes back, will give them a call. Good luck
