Had my beautiful baby boy a week today delivered by emergency c-section, obviously am not nowhere near ready to think about having... yet. But would like to be prepared. So was just wondering how soon you can go on a contraceptive method? I'm wanting to get the implant fitted?

I don't think there's a minimum time frame, my Dr raised the subject at my 6 week check up, so yours might be open to discussing earlier

Congratulations to btw :)

Flipping hec I had my dd a week ago today also by emcs, I thought I did well to get dressed today!

They asked about contraception on my discharge from hospital, and midwife mentioned it the other day too so you should feel able to bring it up when your midwife next visits.

I think some hormonal contraception isn't advised if you're breastfeeding but other than that you should be ok.

Congratulations on your baby boy Smile

Thank you, I only got dressed today for first time ha! Slights 'traumatised' as wasn't expecting a caesran so wanting to ensure am not in same position anytime soon ha!

I've had implant before and worked brilliantly for me; no periods, fertility back upon removal!

Due to see my midwife Monday so shall ask then :)
